At Stra tf ord School, high expecta ti ons yield extraordi nary results. Their advanced yet inten ti onally balanced cur riculum starts as early as Preschool to inspire and nurture the minds and hearts of every student. From the outset, they simplify challenging concepts, then accelerate learn ing to enable students to study ahead of grade level, devel op a love of learning, and prepare them for the future. Stra tf ord's curriculum is created in though tf ul and mean ingful ways to ignite curiosity, nurture explora ti on, and encourage inquiry. From Preschool through 8th grade, Stra tf ord’s curriculum is infused with sequen ti al instruc ti on in science, technolo gy, engineering, arts, and mathema ti cs — “STEAM” — to help students develop a diverse set of problem solving skills and talents they will need in today’s world. The school accomplishes this through a unique cross discipli nary approach that enhances cri ti cal thinking, integrates ideas from mul ti ple subjects, and ul ti mately expands stu dent learning. Beginning in Preschool, Stra tf ord’s curriculum is designed to develop the cogni ti ve, social, emo ti onal, and physical building blocks. Hands on, mul tisensory ac ti vi ti es, includ ing Imagina ti ve STEAM Play, encourage preschoolers to play and share with others, while developing their self con fi dence, so each child discovers the joy and excitement of learning. In Elementary, the accelerated core curriculum exceeds the Na ti onal Standardized ERB Results and mo ti vates stu dents to become cri ti cal thinkers, innova ti ve problem solvers, and pro fi cient writers. This balanced approach imparts students with not only a well rounded educa ti on; it fosters the development of strong friendships, e ff ec ti ve study skills, and blossoming self con fi dence. Middle School con ti nues the Stra tf ord tradi ti on of excel lence as the school prepares and mentors students for placement in honors and advanced courses at top ti er pri vate and public high schools. Stra tf ord’s inten ti onal approach to educa ti ng the whole child results in young adults who are gi ft ed communicators and skilled and gen erous collaborators. Stra tf ord combines tradi ti onal teaching styles with 21st century learning principles, inten ti onally integrate technol ogy in engaging ways, and encourage con fi dent thinking. Stra tf ord also recognizing the importance of striking a healthy balance between the academic and personal lives of students, because the joy of learning extends well beyond classroom walls. Students are encouraged to par ti cipate in interests that allow them to explore their pas sions while providing a variety of extracurricular pursuits,

personal development ac ti vi ti es, physical educa ti on, and play ti me. Stra tf ord teachers have the freedom to create dynamic, relevant lessons and projects. They use a variety of resources and personalized teaching techniques to gener ate opportuni ti es for each student to learn in their own unique way. In this energized classroom atmosphere, stu dents are highly focused and engaged as they learn, ques ti on, and collaborate. By harnessing the collec ti ve power of students, teachers, and administrators, this carefully designed approach, along with a fi rm commitment as educa ti onal leaders, helps stu dents to excel. Stra tf ord School prepares students to become the future genera ti on of crea ti ve problem solvers, imagina ti ve innovators, and con fi dent, insigh tf ul leaders.
