We have made great strides in this quarter.

 We are ranked No.1 out of 6 RGI and doing well in EBIDTA & GOP

 YTD Overall staying experience score top box is 75% and ahead of

the goal

 YTD Problem handling score is 66% and ahead of the goal

 I would like to extend my gratitude to each one of you for your hard

work and effort this second quarter. We must strive and be diligent in

improving in all areas of the business especially in achieving our

Balanced Score Card goals.

On 07 th April,

the Blood Donation

Camp. Over 30

colleagues from

Shangri-La Dubai

donated their

blood.

A big thanks to all donors for this noble cause!

On 27 th April, we invited our

colleagues to attend the Chairman &

CEO Virtual Town Hall Session.

We were delighted to see the new

Shangri-La Culture: Our Vision,

being rolled out by our chairman Ms

Hui Kuok.

GUEST DELIGHT PROGRAM - WAVE DAY

Our dedicated colleagues who go above and beyond every day to delight our guests, engage

with them and make them feel at home, are recognised with guest delight program awards.

GO FOR GOLD OLYMPICS – WAVE DAY

WAVE day was organized by our creative Sales & Marketing team with the theme of “’Go for Gold Olympics’’. All colleagues were having fun with different games arranged by them.

DOG SHELTER VISIT

Dog Shelter Visit by our colleagues as a

part of our volunteering activities.

We donated dog food.

Walked and cuddled the awesome four-

legged creatures in the animal shelter.

FIRST AID TRAINING

First Aid Training certifying our Emergency Response Team members to provide immediate care to injured

guests and colleagues until full medical help is available.

EARTH DAY

Every day is Earth day at SLDB. Through responsible tourism that does not sacrifice the world around us . We hope to

help our guests find their Shangri-La.

The theme for this year's Earth Day is "Restore Our Earth" which focuses on natural processes and emerging green

technologies that can restore the world's ecosystems.

We had a tree planning exercise to improve the quality of our natural surrounding and diminish the

unfavourable effects of climate change

EARTH DAY

We raised awareness about the environment and made an effort

to inspire our guests and colleague's by going “GREEN“ . Art

competition was organised, and we were amazed to see the

talent and enthusiasm in the team.

We decorated our colleague's restaurant with a

green and blue theme. Natural green coloured food

was served in line with the theme. Our chef Marco

baked Green desserts for our guests.

We had an engaging & interactive session on Leaders Eat

Last, learning the six leadership styles and sharing our

success stories in SLDB.

The various components of

Emotional, Intelligence – helped

us expand our repertoire, as

leaders.

GRADUATION PROGRAM

Bipin, our chef in Dunes Café was a part of ICCA culinary scholarship and it was a magical evening to see him graduate and bring

honour to SLDB. The scholarship helps train & certify talented and deserving but financially underprivileged young chefs.

GOLDEN CIRCLE

The Golden Circle awareness week was held to

strengthen our knowledge about the program,

recognise & celebrate colleagues & support to

improve the metrics on enrolment and redemption,

the fun activities fuelled our creativity.

GLOBAL WELLNESS DAY

A day to promote better living and a healthy

lifestyle , SLDB invited guests, tenants,

gymnasium members and colleagues to join

in a day specially geared towards healthy

living.

We kicked off the celebration with yoga with

the Burj Khalifa as the backdrop. Hatha yoga

was practised under the watchful eyes of the

yoga instructor. We started with meditation

and then practised the different poses and

breathing exercises to bring our individual

conscious in line with the universal

conscious.

GLOBAL WELLNESS DAY

Post that we had a healthy breakfast spread

organised by our kitchen brigade, so if you did

lose any calories doing the Surya Namaskar

then for sure our chefs ensured you put them

back on with the delectable spread .

Nasreen Rhoda our Spa manager also

organised a vertical run from the ground floor to

the 42nd floor. It was not for the feeble hearted

,only the brave attempted it . We had a lot of

adrenalin pumping in the vertical run.

SLDB attempted to get one step closer towards

living well.
