Simplify Your Life and Processes The Overwhelming Power of Simplification

One of the greatest lessons I have encountered throughout my life is the great power of simplification. Everyone has the ability to cause most of what we do to become easier through the process of simplification, whether it be in your business or in your personal life. I have tried to make the processes we use as simple as possible so that we are able to accomplish much more and at a faster rate. When you develop a procedure that anyone can follow, a task becomes streamlined for everyone involved. That’s exactly what we’ve done at MKR Building Solutions. Our procedures are fully fleshed out and easy to follow. Sometimes we work with individuals who only speak Portuguese or Spanish so we make sure that our procedures can easily be translated into other languages. When we develop a process, we always keep the customer in mind. Our customers are looking for high-quality work in a timely manner that can be replicated from location to location.

Solutions that we’ve almost achieved. People here account for themselves and take responsibility for the things they need to do because they are self-driven. This prevents me from having to get involved in the management side of things because there’s a formula in place that everyone follows. Respecting expectations encourages us to be met with success. I also like to consider the Japanese philosophy of Kaizen whenever I need inspiration for simplification. Kaizen teaches us that continuing to make positive changes to our lifestyles or business will help us operate more efficiently. We don’t simplify processes for the sake of cutting corners or working faster. We simplify to make things more efficient for everyone involved. Simplifying is not always easy to do because people see things from various perspectives. Recently one of my painters pointed out that the drywallers, who were already gone, had made a mess in one area. I expressed understanding that it was not his mistake, however, his job would look much better if he were to quickly fix the issue himself. It would be too expensive and cause more inconvenience to bring the drywallers back for such a small fix. It can sometimes be simpler and more efficient if you have the ability to do the job yourself and make it great quality.

“Respecting expectations encourages us to be met with success.”

A strong process is vital to consistency. If we have to paint in three separate buildings, you can expect that the finished product will be the same between all buildings. The same goes for whatever else that needs to be cleaned or repaired in a building, such as epoxy floors. We use the same refined techniques, products, and equipment between jobs — so as long as the simplified steps are followed, the work will come out flawless. I follow a company called Strategic Coach. which encourages entrepreneurs to establish a self-driven culture within their company. It’s a dream that I have for MKR Building

When used properly, simplification can make any task easier. Simplifying starts by taking a wide view of each process and figuring out what can be done more efficiently. You then need to sculpt and adjust until your process is perfect. Simplification is simply what we do at MKR Building Solutions to provide our clients with the best possible service. –Jim

Today, more and more people search for products online and use social media to find new trends and products. Now is the time to meet your customers where they are — with social selling marketing. What is social selling marketing? Social selling is the art of forming relationships with current and future customers to generate sales. Building these relationships makes people more likely to use your products. Instead of telling them to buy right now, you’re ingraining in their minds that you’re always there. This method can help boost sales, give you a competitive edge, strengthen your brand’s reputation, and is more effective than cold-calling. How do you sell socially? First, you must know your audience. What do they need, and what do they want? Next, find out which social media platforms they are most likely to use. Do they use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or TikTok? This will allow you to reach your audience easier if you use the platforms they are most frequently on. If you’re trying

What Is Social Selling Marketing? And How Can You Implement

It in Your Business?

AN EXPERT IN THE FIELD My Business Partner, Humberto Cabello

Throughout my decades-worth of experience in the business solutions industry, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many amazing professionals who excel at what they do. From painters to flooring installers and everything in between, there are some talented individuals in our area. While many of these experts have left an impact on me, none have done so as well as my business partner, Humberto Cabello. Back in 2006, Humberto and I worked together at a cleaning company. Humberto oversaw the operations side of things while I handled sales. After some time working together, we decided that we could effectively run our own business together, so we quit and went into business with each other. While I spent time making connections with businesses in the area, Humberto really got invested in the operations side and learned how to complete our projects. The company continued to grow, and Humberto really proved how great he was at working alongside people.

Humberto has a great relationship with the Spanish-speaking community. He has had the opportunity to meet many talented individuals who have struggled with a language barrier and provide them with work. Most of the people Humberto has brought on have stayed with the company for 10 years, which is quite an achievement, especially when you consider the circumstances of the pandemic! Humberto has done a great job assembling an incredibly talented team. Humberto is easily one of the hardest workers I know, but that doesn’t mean he spends all of his time at work. He is an avid soccer player and tries his best to play at least twice a week. He also likes to golf, meet up with people outside of work, and host parties at his house. He’s also in the process of teaching his son the ins and outs of our business so he can someday take the reins of responsibility. I’m so grateful to have Humberto as a business partner and a friend. He has proven time and time again how essential his expertise is, and I couldn’t be more appreciative of his effort.

BE MORE PRODUCTIVE AT WORK BY LISTENING TO THESE THREE MUSIC GENRES THROUGHOUT YOUR DAY

to find prospects, research people who are interacting with products that are similar to yours. Find people who bought from your competitors but didn’t have a great experience. This gives you a chance to offer them a better alternative. One of the most effective ways to sell your brand in social marketing is by answering questions and responding to users. For example, if someone were to complain on Twitter about an item from a company, that business could create a team that checks social media for these types of issues. Then, the business can respond to the user and help resolve the problem. This shows customers that you care about them and their experience, which will influence them to continue to buy from you. Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills can do wonders for your brand. Sales have always been about building relationships and establishing credibility. Social selling is just like that, except you’re using the power of social media as leverage. So take advantage of it! Meet your customers and potential customers where they are, and watch your relationships and profits soar. Take a Break

Whether you work in an office or at home, It’s always enjoyable to hear music playing in the background, but not all music is created equal when it comes to promoting productivity. Although we might enjoy listening to classic rock or pop hits, music with lyrics can quickly become a distraction. However, there are specific genres that help encourage us to be more focused, creative, and productive. Below, you will find three music genres to play in your office if you want to get more done. Classical Music Since the 90s, people have been listening to classical music in an effort to improve their brain power. Since then, many studies have been released that show that listening to classical music can actually make you more productive and receptive to learning. A study conducted by Fabrice Dosseville and Nicolas Scelles had a group of college students listen to classical music during a lecture. Those who listened to classical music demonstrated a higher level of learning comprehension than those who did not listen to music. While classical music can help us be more productive, some research suggests that it’s best utilized when performing simple tasks. Movie and Video Game Music Nothing can put you in a great mood quite like listening to a playlist of a beloved movie or video game. The songs from movies and games are not simply pieced together because they sound right. They’re epic scores that can influence emotion. This music can make us feel more upbeat which in turn, makes us more productive. Additionally, video games require a certain level of focus to be played and the music within them plays a role in promoting that focus. Bringing that music over to your workplace will lead to a more focused workday. Smooth Jazz No matter the environment, there are certain aspects of work that stress us out. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a genre of music you could use in the office to reduce stress? Well, there is! There have been many studies conducted that focus on the various cognitive benefits of jazz. Jazz has the ability to reduce stress, improve memory, reduce depression, and increase creativity. Listening to jazz in the workplace will surely lead to a more productive team.

3 WAYS TO FOSTER A POSITIVE ATTITUDE Choosing Joy Every Day

Keep a gratitude journal. When we think about gratitude and thankfulness, our minds usually think about Thanksgiving. But we don’t need to wait for a special day to show gratitude. Things happen to us every day that we should be grateful for. If you’re struggling to acknowledge your blessings, keep a gratitude journal and write a few things you are thankful for each day. Over time, that thought process will seep into your daily life. Surround yourself with positive people. The people we associate with play a huge role in our mental well-being. If you’re constantly around people who put you down or tell you that you can’t accomplish certain things, you will feel worse about yourself — or even believe them. You need to block the negative people from your life and surround yourself with those who think optimistically. Establishing a positive mindset in today’s world may be difficult, but it is not impossible if you develop a strategy and follow through with it.

In today’s society, we are faced with tragic stories and upsetting information, no matter where we turn. This can quickly lead us to a negative mindset where we believe things can’t be fixed and will only get worse, so it’s even more important now to establish a positive mindset. Though

it might be easier to bury your head in the sand, fostering positivity in your life will provide you with many benefits.

But doing so is easier said than done. If you’re unsure where to begin, try out some of these methods to help you get started.

Focus on the silver lining. When something bad or unfortunate happens, we are quick to think about the negatives and how they will impact us in the future. Instead, we should be searching for a silver lining. You can find a positive in any situation, but you’ll have to put in the effort to flip your perspective.
