How Can NR-OT Help You? When you have pain and limited mobility in the hand and arm, you need help regaining freedom of movement and freedom from pain. At NR-OT, we use comprehensive hands-on techniques and proven modalities to treat your pain caused by injury, surgery, overuse and other conditions. We will thoroughly evaluate your injury and pain history to obtain a better understanding of how your pain evolved, what positions and type of daily activities may be contributing to your pain. Then, we will create a customized treatment program based on our findings. You will receive one-on-one treatment for best results. What Is a Hand Therapist? • Hand Therapists are occupational therapists who have advanced study and experience specializing in treating conditions affecting the hand and upper extremity. • To obtain the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential, one must practice as an occupational therapist for a minimum of three years, accumulating at least 4,000 hours of hand and upper extremity experience, and pass a rigorous certification examination to demonstrate their competency in hand therapy.
