OK, SO WHATS THE DEAL WITH THESE CARDS? Well, simply put, every resident is encouraged to obtain a Resident Card (aka Community ID Card). Well thats if your planning to use the beaches in Qanat Quartier, book the tennis courts as well as take part in community competitions. If you do not plan to do any of these activities, we still encourage you to have one. You just never know when you might need it. AHH.. I SEE, OK SO HOW DO I OBTAIN ONE? The Community ID cards are issued by UDC’s Registry Department, located on the ground floor of UDC’s Medina Centrale office. The customer service desks will be to your right side as you enter the building.

You will need to bring with you: 1. Your up-to-date Qatari ID, 2. Passport-sized photograph. 3. Lease agreement or SPA, whichever is applicable.

WHAT ARE THE OFFICE HOURS? The Registry team is available from Sunday through to Thursday every week (excl. public holidays) between 07:30am to 3:30pm.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? 24 hours.

HOW DO I BOOK THE TENNIS/basketball COURT? You can book the tennis/basketball court free of charge, by simply calling Ittisal, our dedicated 24/7 helpdesk on 800-6222. First come, first serve . WHEN WILL I NEED TO PRESENT IT? Whenever you visit the beach or book the tennis courts, security will ask to see your community ID. This is part of our drive to regulate beach users creating a safer enviorment for residents. We wish to remind residents that all residents of The Pearl-Qatar are permitted to use Lido Venezia, Qanat Quartier’s main beach. Additionally, UDC hosts community competitions from time to time. You will need to have your Community ID handy to present it ensuring your elibility to participate in these events. Otherwise, you’re likely to be turned away. In 2017, we hosted The Pearl Open (tennis tournament) and FIFA 17 gaming tournamenet on Playstation and we have a plan for other exciting events in 2018.

A community Community O ne of the many pleasures of living at The Pearl-Qatar, is the ability to see the wide variety of birds who bring with them a beautiful natural ambience which compliments the metropolis we call home. VM[OL^H[LYHUK`V\^PSSÄUK`V\YZLSM HKTPYPUNPUH^L(ZJHYUP]VYLZ/LYVUZ THPUS`LH[ÄZOOV^L]LY[OL`HYLRUV^U to also eat other small animals such as MYVNZ HUK YLW[PSLZ 4HU` WLVWSL HZR the question, are birds able to see at UPNO[&(/LYVUJLY[HPUS`PZHISL[V;OPZ beautiful bird has a unique set of eyes allowing it to see equally as well during the night as is during the day. Seagulls are savvy birds who have the instinct to survive. Often, they get their food by stealing from V[OLY IPYKZ ;OL` \ZL IYLHK JY\TIZ [V H[[YHJ[ ÄZO and produce rain-like sound with their feet to attract earthworms hidden underground. Seagulls transfer all hunting skills and techniques to their offspring. Interestingly, seagulls are one of the rare animals on the planet that are able to drink saltwater.

Being the largest of the falcon species, Gyrafalcons are among the fastest birds in the world reaching incredible speeds of up to 209km/h. Birds are truly one of the wonderful creations of God. Simple steps to close your account

For many residents who are relocating, closing utility connections can be a daunting task. But it doesn’t have to be! Below we have compiled a checklist for you to ease the process before heading to your local Kahramaa Service Center.

1. Know which Service Centers serve The Pearl-Qatar residents. We recommend heading down to the newly opened ‘Pearl Service Center’ in Medina Centrale. For more information on locations, please visit km.com.qa

2. Obtain up-to-date meter readings. UDC tenants have the privilege of receiving prompt meter readings at no cost. If you are a non-UDC tenant, your landlord should be able to assist you. If you are a homeowner and are not sure where to start, please call the island’s FM helpdesk on 800-1212 (a fee may be applicable for the service). You will need to obtain the latest readings from your electricity and domestic water meters. The units of measurement as displayed on the electricity meter is ‘kWh’ whilst the units of measurement as displayed on domestic water meter is ‘m³’ Remember to take clear pictures whilst ensuring the serial number is visible. Blurry LPDJHVPD\OHDGWRUHMHFWLRQ,QDGGLWLRQLW·VZRUWKQRWLQJWKDWDZULWWHQFRQÀUPDWLRQ signed and stamped by your landlord is usually required. Tip: Upon obtaining the meter readings, ensure you close your account within 2 weeks, otherwise you risk being asked to re-take and provide up-to-date readings. 3. Head to a Kahramaa Service Center. So how long does the process take? Well, a few short minutes.

If your documents are in order and you have paid your bills you will probably be in credit considering the deposit you would’ve put forward at the time of opening the account.
