Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada identifies players who are ready to make the next step on the path to the PGA TOUR, awarding Web.com Tour status to the top five leading money winners at season’s end.

Formerly known as the Canadian Tour, with a rich history of developing stars such as Graham DeLaet, Mike Weir, Adam Hadwin, Steve Stricker, David Hearn, Jimmy Walker and more, today’s players competing on the Mackenzie Tour–PGA TOUR Canada will become tomorrow’s stars on the PGA TOUR. The Mackenzie Tour–PGA TOUR Canada is part of the path to the PGA TOUR, where tomorrow’s PGA TOUR players begin their quest to reach the game’s highest level. At the end of the season the Top 5 earn their way onto the Web.com Tour, advancing them one giant step towards their PGA TOUR dreams. While Mackenzie Tour–PGA TOUR Canada’s goal is to identify tomorrow’s stars and promote them to the Web.com Tour and Mackenzie Tour–PGA TOUR, every event is a chance for fans, volunteers and sponsors to come together and support the local community and charitable causes. The net proceeds from every Mackenzie Tour–PGA TOUR Canada event go to charity, and each tournament includes a full week’s worth of events, including pro-ams, junior clinics, and special events for members of the Canadian Armed Forces and a number of off-site visits. Freedom 55 Financial Championship

OVERVIEW

The freedom 55Financial Championship is Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada’s flagship event. The season ending tournament will feature the top 60 players from the Order of Merit.

The Freedom 55 Financial Championship is the most important tournament on the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada 12-tournament schedule as the top 5 players on the Order of Merit after the conclusion of the Freedom 55 Financial Championship will be awarded Web.com Tour status for the following season. The next 5 players on the Order of Merit will earn exemptions into the final stage of Web.com Tour Qualifying School. In addition to those great perks, the Freedom 55 Financial Canadian Player of the Year will also be named and earn a $25,000 prize.
