In November 2019, it was announced that RMIT is in the process of being acquired by Starwood Capital Group, a global private investment firm that is focused on real estate. Starwood has been an innovator in non-agency mortgages, helping grow the industry into the success it is today. As a part of the Starwood Capital Group, we will have a unique ability to develop new product lines and create strategic relationships within the Starwood family of companies. The acquisition by Starwood requires regulatory approval and is slated to be completed later in 2020.

Craig M. Corn , Founder, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer – Craig founded RMF in 2012 and its parent company, Reverse Mortgage Investment Trust, in 2013. Prior to that, he held executive leadership positions in the reverse mortgage industry with MetLife Bank, EverBank, BNY Mortgage Company, Financial Freedom Senior Funding Corporation, and Lehman Brothers. Along the way he’s developed groundbreaking proprietary reverse mortgage products. David Peskin, President – David is responsible for RMF’s origination activities. Through his leadership and insight, RMF grew from a startup to one of the nation’s largest lenders in five short years. Today, RMF is the nation’s largest GNMA issuer, and has market share of 42% based on new whole loan issuance amount (source: GNMA, as of 1/2019). David previously, as CEO, grew Senior Lending Network into the largest independent reverse mortgage company through retail and wholesale. He served on the NRMLA Board of Directors 2006 – 2012. Michele A. Zachensky, Chief Risk Officer – Michele developed and oversees the company’s enterprise-wide risk management program, encompassing all business segments. Earlier in her tenure, she was RMF’s Operations Executive. Previously, she was VP of Operations for MetLife Bank’s reverse mortgage division, where her group was honored as one of American Banker’s Top Five Banking Teams. Jean Noble, Chief Marketing Officer – Jean is a seasoned marketing and sales strategist with 20 years’ experience in the mortgage and financial services industries. Having created and refined several national campaigns, Jean has helped to improve the bottom line by focusing on efficient and innovative lead acquisition strategies. She is a former member of the NRMLA Board of Directors from 2010 to 2013 and served as head of the industry’s public relations committee (2013).

Patrick Lambrecht, Retail Operations Leader – Patrick has been with RMF for 5 years and has been instrumental in the development and build out of the Retail Infrastructure including: Staffing, Polices & Procedures and system requirements. As Retail Operations Leader, Patrick is responsible for overseeing the day to day operation for the Distributed Retail, Consumer Direct, and Turnkey Channels. This includes the management of the Intake, Loan Processing, Closing/Funding, Postclosing/Inuring and Condo Project approvals. Prior to joining RMF, Patrick was Vice President for Security 1 Lending. Before that, he was Director of MetLife Bank’s Retail Operations, and Assistant Vice President at World Alliance Financial Corporation. Craig Barnes, CRMP, Education Leader – A Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional (CRMP), Craig has more than 20 years of training experience, including more than a decade in the reverse mortgage industry. He is responsible for training all company associates and business partners across all business channels. Prior to joining RMF, he was a Director and Partner Experience Manager at Reverse Mortgage Solutions. Before that, Craig was a training manager at MetLife Home Loans, a Division of MetLife Bank, N.A. Previously he was a training consultant for companies such as JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and Port Authority of NY and NJ. Craig is a Development Dimensions International Certified Master Trainer and he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education. He is also a member of NRMLA's Independent Certification Committee.

Richard Thorpe, National Sales Leader, Distributed Retail Richard’s sole responsibility is to support the origination and marketing efforts of our loan officers. Unlike other firms, we do not ask Richard to be a producing manager, so he can devote all of his time and effort to supporting the sales team. With 28 years in the mortgage industry — the last nine in reverse mortgages — Richard knows the business inside out, and has a strong and successful track record. Prior to joining RMF, he was East Coast Vice President at Security One Lending. Previously, he was the Northeast Area Sales Manager for MetLife Bank’s reverse mortgage division, and National Sales Manager at EverBank Reverse Mortgage.
