INTRODUCTION Stag Cricket was established in 2020 by 2 passionate cricketers – Matt Carter and John Karassellos. They identified a need in the market for quality cricket bats at reasonable prices. From the bats, they quickly established a sports wear offering and have a number of international players that they sponsor. In addition to the equipment offering, Stag Cricket are huge advocates of giving back to the community such as using local suppliers for their branding, website etc but more importantly establishing Stag Cricket Foundation, a charitable foundation offering a range of community programmes for children, teenagers and young adults who don’t normally have day to day access to cricket and other sports. Due to the success of the business, they have established a need to grow the Stag team and are keen to appoint a fundraising partner to join the business. This role is offered initially on a part time basis with a view to be more involved as the business grows. This is a truly exciting opportunity to work with entrepreneurial individuals in this start up business!

THE ROLE

This a new role with plenty of scope to make it your own, however the initial requirement is to be actively involved in the following areas: Fundraising • Liaising with Sports England, England & Wales cricket board, Chance to Shine, MCC Foundation and Kent Community Foundation. • Liaising and networking with local authorities, other charitable organisations and other relevant sources to source funding. • Completing grant applications. • Building a network of private/ philanthropic investors as well as financial institutions and local businesses to gain additional income streams.
