About UCA

At the University for the Creative Arts, we believe that creativity makes global communities more vibrant, more innovative, more human.

For 160 years, we’ve been passionate advocates for creative education and research. We’re also the UK’s highest-ranked creative specialist university, offering courses in Architecture, Crafts, Fashion, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Art, Photography, Film, Media, the Performing Arts and Creative Business.

But we’re a lot more than that, too.

Our ambition

We want to inspire people to use their creativity to drive change, overcome challenges and improve the lives of others. So we’ve designed our university to be an inclusive, dynamic environment, which we hope you will be part of enhancing with your management skills. Our campuses across Surrey and Kent, our Institute for Creative Innovation in Xiamen, China, and our homes within partner organisations such as the Royal School of Needlework and Maidstone Television Studios all have one thing in common: They are places for our students and academics to forge inspiring partnerships, work with purpose and build real solutions to human problems across the globe.

Our community

If you decide to join UCA, you’ll be joining a diverse international community of creative people from every background you can imagine. Surrounded by our talented students, expert academics and technicians, and professional staff, the work you do here will help foster a happy and inspirational environment, where students feel free to create amazing things, and feel safe away from home.

Welcome from the Pro Vice Chancellor

UCA is embarking on its largest change programme in its history, ‘Transformation 2024’ which will see us strengthen our global impact, the impact of our curriculum and support for our people. To support this vision, we have undertaken a major review of our student recruitment and marketing functions. And we are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and experienced Director to take forward our new Recruitment and Admissions Directorate.

We are seeking a strategic leader of the division to ensure that:

• Every UCA applicant receives a highly personalised journey from interest to enrolment. • Our teams undertake meaningful, active, and participatory global and regional recruitment that continues to diversify our home and international student community. For UCA, Recruitment and Admission forms the start of our students journey with UCA, setting the expectations. We will be striving to ensure that every individual in the teams is seeking to create an experience for our applicants that lives our values, and creates an optimistic, joyful, adventurous, innovative and most of all human and personal applicant journey. We are at the start of this change and we have outlined a major investment in people, systems, and structures to achieve our goals. As our Director of Recruitment and Admissions you will play a pivotal role in the future success of this development change and also of the institution. As the glue that holds our recruitment and admissions strategy together, you will oversee, coordinate and facilitate the delivery of a world leading applicant journey. You will bring with you valuable experience that will give you the ability to seek out and tackle the challenges that such an ambitious transformation of our institution demands. If you are excited by the opportunity to deliver the development of our recruitment and admissions function, at pace, working with a diverse range of individuals, teams and stakeholders from across the institution then we would love to hear from you.
