I Can, and I Will My Outlook on Optimism Month March is Optimism Month, and as Winston Churchill once said, “Optimists see opportunities in every difficulty.” Embracing a positive mindset has been proven to bring you happiness while getting you one step closer to achieving your goals. Optimism decreases stress and improves both your physical and mental well-being. Channeling your energy into positive thinking is extremely important. I’m a very optimistic person, and to be in business, you have to be! Things rarely go as you would like them to, especially when you’re just beginning. When I first started, I was young, fresh, and green — and highly

When it comes to being a good parent, husband, and friend, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. It takes a lot for me to lose my faith in people, and I’m always optimistic. We all can bounce back and learn from our wrongdoings. I don’t believe that anyone is here to do me wrong. In the past, when my kids would try out for a sport, I’d see to it that they finished out the year. Even if they decided mid-season that they did not enjoy it, I wouldn’t allow them to quit. After the

year finished, it’d be alright if they decided to not return the following year, but once they committed, they had to finish out the year. My kids are also optimists — I’ve instilled that in my family. If you stop in the middle, then you’ll never give it a chance to really work.

optimistic. I didn’t have any negative experiences to base my thoughts off of, and I dove right in with positive thoughts. When I had one bad day, I would tell myself that the next

”I’m not one to wait on the sideline for someone to help me. I’m the guy who’s out there making it happen.”

However, I am human and I do get down and discouraged, as we all do at times. But I never let anyone see that. I work through it and quickly return to seeing the bright side. When you stumble and fall, it’s always important to get back up. I grew up very poor as a kid, but I persevered and knew that I would grow up to change that — I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s instilled in me that I do whatever it takes to breed success. I’m not one to wait on the sideline for someone to help me. I’m the guy who’s out there making it happen.

four days would be good. And it worked — it lifted my spirits and helped me to keep on keeping on.

In the beginning, I made a lot of really bad, dumb, and silly financial mistakes, but I always recovered and maintained my optimism. Along the way, I realized that people often give up too easily and throw in the towel. Nobody makes any progress that way. You have to be willing to work hard and look on the bright side of things.

It’s More Than Just Tidying Up

Let’s Clear 2 WAYS TO REMOVE

4 HEALTH BENEFITS OF SPRING-CLEANING

Sometimes, your car is your office. Other times, it’s your break room. On some days, it’s even your dining room. It shuttles your kids to and from school and gets your pets to the vet. We spend a lot of time in our cars, and sometimes our daily lives can leave behind some funky smells in our vehicles. Nobody wants a smelly car, so here are tips and strategies to remove unwelcome odors. STOP THE SMELL BEFORE IT STARTS. Bringing food, chemicals, or even perfumes into your vehicle can leave behind some foreign scents. If you must bring certain items into your car, make sure you aren’t leaving trash behind to stink up the vehicle. Remember that your car is a small, enclosed space that easily absorbs smells. Vacuum out your vehicle often, making sure to get under the seats for lost french fries or wrappers. USE BAKING SODA. Baking soda, an alkaline powder, is notorious for absorbing odors quickly. All that you should do is pop open a box of it and liberally sprinkle the baking soda on the carpet. After a few hours, vacuum up the powder. You can even leave an open container of baking soda in the cup holder and let it work its magic!

Sunday, March 20, is the first day of spring —which means it’s time for some spring-cleaning. Did you know that cleaning is not just about tidying up a physical space? It’s also about improving overall well-being. Here’s how organization and cleanliness can help you in more ways than you might expect.

SPRING-CLEANING REDUCES STRESS AND DEPRESSION.

Tidiness and mental health are actually connected. Studies have found that having a clean home is directly correlated to happiness and your ability to focus. Anxiety can spike when laundry is piling up, items are strewn everywhere, and papers get scattered on various surfaces within the home. Clearing the clutter is a great way to boost your mood and increase those feel-good hormones.

IT PREVENTS ILLNESSES. Doorknobs, refrigerator handles, light switches, countertops, and remote controls are all things we touch many times a day. Cleaning anything that’s used often is one way to reduce the spread of germs. By keeping household surfaces clean, we help thwart the spread of viruses and illnesses.

SPRING-CLEANING HELPS YOU BREATHE BETTER. Spring often brings pollen that triggers allergies for many. But pollen isn’t the only thing to blame when people have difficulty breathing. When dust and pet dander build up in your home, your respiratory system is greatly affected too. Deep-cleaning your air filters and vents can make breathing effortless — and it’s truly amazing how this can improve your well-being. IT KEEPS YOU MORE ACTIVE. Off the couch and on your feet! Even just running the vacuum and clearing the clutter from the dining room table will get you up and moving, which is healthy for your heart and body. This spring season, putting some elbow grease into your cleaning will benefit you in more ways than one. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later!

Is Your Engine Sputtering? 5 Reasons Why It Happens A sputtering engine is never good news because it’s a major indication that there’s a problem. While it can mean that your car is simply out of gas, there are a few other, costlier reasons it might be sputtering. FUEL INJECTORS Oftentimes, the fuel injectors get clogged up when the engine is burning gas, producing carbon as a natural byproduct. When your fuel injector becomes clogged with carbon, it isn’t able to spray enough gas into the engine’s intake manifold or cylinders, which causes sputtering. CATALYTIC CONVERTER When a catalytic converter fails, it doesn’t properly convert poisonous carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide. If there is a problem with your catalytic converter, your engine may overheat or sputter. OXYGEN SENSOR Your vehicle’s oxygen sensor is responsible for letting you know just how much fuel should be passed through to the engine. If the fuel amount is too much or too little, the engine may begin to sputter.

you ever get in your car and think to yourself, “My car smells funny,” try ese options! If you still have a problem with unpleasant odors, consult a eaning professional.

MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR Your mass airflow sensor tells you how much air is in the engine. Just like the oxygen sensor, the engine will sputter if there is too much or too little air.

Cheer on your favorite team and chow down in minutes with this easy chili recipe!

Spring Fever ENJOY WARM WEATHER WHILE STUCK INDOORS

The weather is warming up, the sun is out, and you’re inside! Many of us have jobs that keep us indoors during spring’s prime midday hours, and after a long winter, it can be hard to resist the call of warm weather and longer daylight hours.

If you’re looking for ways to stay productive while bringing a little “spring” into your work routine, here are a few tips!

Bring the Outdoors In. When the weather is nice, open as many curtains and blinds as possible. Natural light warms up a room and has a mood-enhancing effect. Try opening a window and then position yourself next to it. Feeling the spring breeze on your face is the next best thing to being outside! Also, consider placing a few plants in your work environment. Plants add a welcome ambiance to a room and help to create a general sense of nature and the outdoors. Take a Break. Use your break for an outdoor stroll and take in the fresh smells and sounds of the season. If possible, try walking or taking a bike to work. If you commute, try parking further away to give yourself a fewminutes to enjoy the weather. If your building has an outdoor patio, consider taking lunch at the picnic table or going to a nearby park.

Be an Office Hero! Volunteer to do the morning coffee run, pick up lunch, or any other office errands. You’ll get a change of pace, get some exercise, and help your team at the same time. TryWorking Outside. If your office has the flexibility, there may be opportunities to hold some meetings outside. Consider scheduling lunch meetings in an outdoor space with bag lunches. By making one or more of these small adjustments, you’ll be able to enjoy the season in small doses while staying on-track with your work routine.

Happy Spring!
