Recently Completed Project

SUNBURY LIBRARY, VIC

A major project for the community of Sunbury in Victoria, the Hume Global Learning Centre – Sunbury is a new library build. Hume council appointed Raeco for all shelving, seating and tables in the adult and children’s zones.

The Raeco team consulted extensively with architects and project managers during planning, construction and installation. The result is a bright, modern and flexible library.

The children’s zone features our Cove seating and shelving units. These compliment the main Expressions shelving and provide further merchandising options. Cove units create the perfect place for quiet reading. Our wave seating unit also features large browser tubs, perfect for story time and a number of fun group activities.

Sunbury library is divided into 3 key zones – children’s, adult and marketplace. Our mobile, expressions shelving, in charcoal, provides a relaxed “bookstore” feel that does not restrict the open plan of the space. The shelving look is streamlined, and is designed not to overpower the extensive print collection. Shelving height enables line of sight across the entire space. A number of innovative Raeco shelving accessories enables the merchandising of print and audio visual which helps increase circulation rates.

Large window walls in the adult zone feature Raeco seating and tables, placed for individual or group reading. Our distinctive tetris tables feature in the centre of the adult zones for group or individual study.
