SENIOR LIVING EXPERTISE
At EMJ, we understand that the nature of senior living is personal. After all, it’s home.
While others may see senior living as an investment opportunity, you see senior living as an opportunity to serve. You need a partner that focuses on optimizing the design and construction process for you so that you can focus on delivering comfort and care. With EMJ, you’ll gain a partner that thinks like an owner, creatively and strategically, in order to maximize your impact on the people you serve. The Concept-to-Completion, C2C® project delivery approach, coupled with our focus on value creation, maximizes profit and minimizes risk to you on every project. Our diverse portfolio of senior care projects includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing homes, and hospice.
From Concept-to-Completion, we are committed to capturing your vision and turning it into a reality.
IT IS NO SECRET THAT THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IS ONE OF THE MOST INEFFICIENT ON THE PLANET. THE INEFFICIENCY OF THE INDUSTRY AMOUNTS TO BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF UNNECESSARY WASTE PAID FOR BY OWNERS. HAMMERED TEAM MEMBERS SPEND ENERGY FINDING REASONS TO GENERATE ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND CHANGE ORDERS. THIS STRATEGY IS NOT LIKELY TO CREATE THE LOWEST FINAL PRICE OR HIGHEST VALUE. –BARBARA BRYSON VP CONSTRUCTION AT RICE UNIVERSITY

HILLVIEW HEALTH CENTER Elizabethton, TN
ST. BARNABAS NURSING HOME Chattanooga, TN
SENIOR LIVING SPOTLIGHT: BRINGING YOU VALUE
BAPTIST TRINITY HOSPICE ISSUE: The fire protection system had been installed per the original design. However, the State Health Department determined that the fire protection design needed to be separated into two systems in order to serve the patient and administration wings independently. C2C® SOLUTION: We proactively devised modifications to the existing single system that would be acceptable to the State Health Department. The solution was approved and construction proceeded with minimal impact.

HARBOR VIEW MANOR
VALUE IMPACT: • $175,000 in
ISSUE: This former industrial site required costly remediation due to large amounts of debris and organic materials. Initially, the owner’s independent analysis of the site called for an engineered design that would have caused budget and schedule overruns. C2C® SOLUTION: We developed a remediation method that involved separation and removal of the debris through an on-site filtration system.
