Hello Neighbors,

Happy New Year 2022! I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous year. This is the year of the tiger and it should be roaring!

I hope you’ve been enjoying my market report and finding it interesting.

2021 was a very active condo market. A few factors contributed to the market activity: businesses re-opened and people began returning to work, people realized they would prefer to live in the city, people were getting priced out of the home market and interest rates continued to remain low. The condo market in our neighborhood has been very active since last July with sales for the last 6 months of 2021 surging above 2020 by double-digits. Prices, meanwhile, continue to climb with the median price setting record highs. Supply, however, remained tight as for-sale properties consistently dipped below year-ago levels. We are continuing to see the imbalance between supply and demand that has been creating headaches for homebuyers, as market competition remains intense.
