The Last Hurrah SAYING GOODBYE TO SUMMER AND HELLO TO FALL
Every August, my family and I vacation down to Myrtle Beach for a week. My family has been visiting the beach every year for as long as I can remember, and it’s one of the things we look forward to the most each summer. At Myrtle Beach, we make the most of all the fun things to do in the area. The majority of our time is spent in the water as we like to ride jet skis, play in the sand, and bodysurf. We also go golfing and drive go-karts. Each year, we try to go on an excursion and experience something new in the area. Last year, we visited Disney World, which was a blast, especially for the kids. If you ever find yourself in the Myrtle Beach area, I recommend walking around Broadway at the Beach, a huge outdoor entertainment center. You can eat at delicious restaurants, shop in unique boutiques, and see live shows. Another great attraction is the Family Kingdom Amusement Park. This park is located on the beach, and it features a water park with various rides, slides, games, and a beautiful Ferris wheel. Myrtle Beach State Park is another neat area. The park includes a few miles of forest, as well as beach, and it features interactive natural history displays, saltwater aquariums, and live reptiles. If you have the time, park naturalists also offer nature education programs about the coast and wildlife.
If you’ve spent too much time on the beach — if that’s even possible — and you want to learn more about the wildlife at Myrtle Beach from the comfort of a controlled environment, you can visit Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach. This aquarium offers many cool experiences like swimming with stingrays, diving with sharks, viewing marine animals in a glass-bottom boat, or sleeping with the sharks. Though most of these experiences take place during regular aquarium hours, you can sign up for an overnight adventure to learn more about sharks and sleep in the Dangerous Reef Tunnel! Although we are so excited for our last vacation of the summer, fall is right around the corner. We have some exciting changes happening in the clinic that coincide with the changing of the seasons. Recently, Colleen assumed the office manager position at Somerset Family Physical Therapy. We were so happy to offer Colleen the position; she deserves it! Also, I would like to welcome Mackenzie, our new receptionist, to the clinic. Don’t be afraid to say hi and introduce yourself the next time you are in. She is a great asset to our team! As a reminder, our new sports injury prevention program for fall sports will begin in September. Stay tuned for more details on this great program!

3 Studying Hacks for Successful Students
Are your kids already sweating exams this semester? Fear not! Combine these tips with a regular studying routine, and they’ll be set for anything their teachers assign this year. Chew On This. Not all classrooms allow gum, but those that do offer students a distinct advantage. According to Scientific American, chewing gum increases the flow of oxygen to the areas of your brain responsible for attention and memory. Your student can even coordinate gum flavors with each of their classes. Do they
