This novella deals with the exile/escape theme, only seeped in the Middle Ages. I am not sure what it is and where it belongs. Is it an adult fairy tale? A sad tragedy of times past? Hope Springs ARLY DAYS OF THIS MONTH AS I STARTED TO plan this issue, a story particularly about castles seemed timely relevant and apropos. I have always dreamed of living into one, with those kinds of architectural structures and pillars from ground up—I have fascinated how these castles came to be. Castles are icon of the times— ironically ubiquitous, slapped on royal movies and television series this sets the timeline or the particular era the show is said to take place. With this issue, I have gained time to gather castles E to visit when we feel like it. It is also this issue we welcome a brand season stemmed with hope and aspirations. As lockdown eases, we wanted to travel the world and see more its full potential. And while we still can’t, we have grace time of giving you the best trends that’s in during this day and age— from fashion to movies to watch out for, everything is on set for you this issue. We wanted to show the world a brighter version in this time of worldwide pandemic. BOOK REVIEWS IS HE OR ISN’T HE?: A RESPONSE TO GOD’S NOT DEAD The book God’s Not Dead by Pastor Rice Broocks so engaged Cliff’s interest and his disagreement with its content that he undertook to write a response (or rebuttal). This book is it. Dealing with such diverse issues as cosmology, theology, and evolution, as well as an examination of what the Gospels of the Bible really say, this book is argumentative and opinionated. However, Cliff respects the pastor (as he refers to Broocks) and has tried to be respectful in his approach. As the book states early on, Cliff is an atheist but not a proselytizer. You may be interested in the origin of the universe, the idea of the tuned universe, the dogma known as creationism, or that known as intelligent design, the question of the meaning to religion of Darwin’s theory of natural selection, or the actual words of the Gospels. The book deals with the incredible amount of money spent over more than three decades in this endeavor and shows the methods employed in order to increase the wealth disparity in this country, to disenfranchise the minorities and the working poor, to deny the obvious as to climate change, the dangers of smoking, acid rain, and the ozone hole, for example. It outlines the political tactics used to obstruct the passage of legislation favorable to the lower 99 percent. It discloses how the education system of the country has been invaded and our youth are being indoctrinated with self-destructive beliefs. The doctrine of “supply side” or “trickle down” economics is shown to have been instrumental in misleading and beggaring the lower 99 percent. Somers pulls no punches and works from an obvious passion. The book is pitched to the average literate reader and is not couched in abstruse or technical language.

Mon Repos is a villa in the south of Corfu City, Greece. Originally built as a summer residence in 1828-1831 for the British Lord High Commissioner of the United States of the Ionian Islands, Frederick Adam, and his second wife Diamantina Palatino. Greek royals also used this villa as a summer residence in 1860s-1960s and is now open for public tours. King George I name the place Mon Repos which means ‘My Rest’ in French. Since then, the property was restored as it is considered historic. On June 10, 1921, Prince Philip was born in this villa as well as one of his sisters—Sophie.
