10 Your Life, Your Way... All the Way You can define and shape
Dear Friend,
You, our amazing donors, make it possible for The Elizabeth Hospice to provide compassionate solutions to complex problems brought on by advanced illness. Your support enables us to comfort and counsel our patients and their families during challenging times, and to restore hope to grieving children and adults when they feel lost and alone. Because of you, we are able to give families the precious gift of meaningful moments with their loved ones. Our community-centered care plays an important role in healthcare especially during these times of shrinking reimbursement and rigorous regulatory oversight. Since 1978, The Elizabeth Hospice has had the privilege of making a difference in the lives of more than 95,000 people. Patients and their families are treated with grace, dignity and respect and are guided through life’s most difficult transition by our experienced, compassionate team of experts. Those in the community who are grieving, no matter what their patient affiliation, have a professional resource to help restore hope and foster emotional healing. There are 11 school districts in San Diego County and the Inland Empire that have a resource for training their professional staff to support bereaved children without impacting their already tight budgets. All of this is possible because of your generous support. This report highlights the achievements of our caregivers, staff and volunteers during 2016. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for trusting us with your investment in the community. 8 6 4 Every Minute is Truly a Treasure By Beverly Marston MEMORABLE MOMENTS 5 Conversation Starter Kit Makes Life Easier By Marlene A.
