The ACE TESOL Diploma course is designed to enhance your theory and practice as an English language teacher. The course will add to your confidence as an educator, increase your knowledge base and expertise and provide you with a further English language teaching professional credential.

Online courses are self-paced and run over a three month period with three start dates per year: January 15, May 15 and September 15.

The ACE Certificate in T EACHING S TANDARDIZED T EST P REPARATION
The ACE TESOL C ERTIFICATE
This 26+ hour course is designed to help language instructors prepare students for success on a variety of standardized English proficiency tests including TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC and the Cambridge Exams.
The ACE Certificate in T EACHING E NGLISH FOR A CADEMIC P URPOSES
This 26+ hour course is designed to help language instructors effectively prepare students for success in an English-speaking higher education setting. Participants will learn tools and strategies with which to effectively teach the language systems, language skills, and behaviours specific to higher education.
The ACE Certificate in T EACHING O CCUPATION S PECIFIC L ANGUAGE
This 32+ hour course provides general strategies and skills for teaching English for workplace, occupational and professional contexts. Participants will tailor their assignments to the occupation or sector in which they would like to specialize.
The ACE TESOL Certificate course is designed to provide you with the tools, skills and knowledge to be successful teaching adults in English language programs either in Canada or abroad. The course includes 100 hours of coursework and a 20-hr practicum* (10-hr practicum option also available). Based upon the most current teaching theory and methodologies, participants learn through pair work, small group work, teaching demonstrations and discussions.
This 35+ hour course is designed to make language teachers aware of the critical interaction between culture and language in the language classroom. The course prepares participants to effectively teach students culture along with language.
The ACE Certificate in T EACHING C ULTURE
The ACE Certificate in K-12 ESL S TUDENT I NTEGRATION
This 20+ hour course is designed for K-12 teachers who have ESL students in their classes. The course provides ideas, strategies and tools for the successful integration of ESL students into the classroom, school and community.

The ACE Certificate in L ANGUAGE P ROGRAM M ANAGEMENT
This 90+ hour course covers general management, marketing, finance, human resources and language program operations. Based on current theories and practices, the course is tailored specifically to the language education sector.

The ACE Certificate in A DVANCED G RAMMAR FOR E NGLISH T EACHERS
S TRONG PROFICIENCY IN E NGLISH R ECOMMENDED B ACHELOR ’ S DEGREE *
This 30+ hour course allows participants to analyze the complex grammar struc- tures, look at common student challenges, and complete lesson planning tasks in order to practice teaching these structures in a meaningful and interesting way.
*The ACE TESOL Certificate with 20-hr practicum is recognized by TESL Canada for TESL Canada Professional Certification Standard One. TESL Canada is the national professional organization for English language teaching in Canada.
The ACE Certificate in L ANGUAGE T EACHING AND T ECHNOLOGY
Part One is 35+ hours and covers how to use different technology tools. Part Two is 35+ hours and covers how to apply these technology tools in the language class- room. Part Three is 20+ hours and covers how to teach online language classes.
