The VenoArt Mother's Day Auction

1

To the world she is a mother; but to her family, she is the world. . .

Mama. . . Madre. . . Ama. . . Mutter. . . Mommy. . .

Just as there are many different names for a mother, whether she becomes a parent by giving birth or by adoption or foster care or when she became a father’s new wife. . . Motherhood is a “Special Gift”.

Sunday May 8th is the day to celebrate all mothers and motherhood. One way to celebrate is through art. VenoArt will host its Mother’s Day auction on May 1st.The auction celebrates talent and diversity by artists around the world; some who are mothers themselves. . . As always, a percentage of all proceeds go to charity. Let VenoArt’s global platform help you honor someone you love this May. VenoArt is an online auction house focused on art. Our team of graphic designers, curators, bloggers, and, of course -- artists -- engages painters, printmakers, photographers and sculptors from across the globe. We showcase them on our website and hold frequent auctions of their work. We promote and support them, driven by our mission of “Art Without Borders.“ VenoArt’s collection is wide-ranging. We collaborate with our artists to market their works successfully. Our auction pricing aims at affordability. We offer art lovers with modest budgets unprecedented opportunities to collect and enjoy. We empower artists by eliminating the “middle man” in the sales process. We empower buyers with affordable auctions where everyone can find what inspires them. We welcome you to our third auction, our gift to you this Mother’s Day. Artist: Shima Faridini is an Iranian artist who has experience working with different technics including acrylic, oil paint, color pencil, and also watercolor. She, who started her work with completely realistic them, gradually stepped away from any mere reality to a metaphorical method that is sometimes very direct and sometimes very personal and intuitive. Exploring the new, revelatory, and occasionally fundamental nature of considered objects and the new harmonies she creates between their visual confrontation bring her an opportunity to step into lands that are built based on an inner contemplation rather than just a mere horizons observation. In such a way, the primary perceptual light rays disappear so that re-compositions and decompositions are formed. In search of the foundations, sometimes the shell of objects cracks, but apart from these secondary demonstrations, one of the painter`s main goals is to find the answers that each work is trying to give as if each piece of art is a mirror-like question mark. Just like each of us who are the unique questions & answers standing in the middle of the world, face to face with ourselves.

The semantic view of these works is presented in the form of hermeneutics and apart from the meaning that the artist has tried to present. It provides a context in which the audience can search for their own personal definition. Man is the only timekeeper in the universe. Only human beings measure time. Only human beings make time. Hence, it is only human beings who suffer from crippling fear that no other creature can endure. The fear of running out of time.

The theme of my artworks is “identity” with emphasis on “individual identity” and its relation with the will, right of choice, and self-expression in the era and geography that I live in and form my lived experience, and for representation it, I use figures, objects, and animals symbolically. I think the body of any individual is beginning and end of her or his existence. It is the horizon and sign of individuality that the personality of man has root in that, we can’t consider the body as a thing that doesn’t affect identity. My concern begins from where this body forced by determination of geography, time, tradition, mores, visions, an identity made by others and the worse of all this, self-suppression.But the woman in my artworks as if ask about her begin and her identity, so she bears the burden of a new birth. She passes the unreasonable commands and oughts, endless ifs, the curious looks, and the hell of others, to find a new meaning for herself in deep silence, with a look that is full of astonishment, she wants to say yes to herself. she is not concern about herself although she is floating in sadness, regret, and hesitation but hopes to create new meaning for her begin in the geography where looks her with a neutral and grey look, makes her colorless, acceptor, passive, indifferent, guilty, and dependent, and takes her more away from herself by creating empty, old and false symbols. The women of my paintings in a symbolic land located between sleeping and waking up, cross from the red lights of grey-colored geography during dark nights.”

Our feasts are not held for a special occasion anymore. They come and go with no purpose and just with an extreme motivation of happiness. It is not easy to recognize where the feast is held, who is the host, which culture does it belong to and in which geography the event is going to end (Tehran, Paris), and these things have lost their importance too. What propels the feast is just rejoicing, even if a good ending is not waiting for us like Saturnalia (Keyvan celebration). Rejoicing or escaping from ourselves and taking shelter in the moments lasting for a short time are tranquillizers that soothe our self-made pains and philosophical despairs a little. Materials & Techniques: Acrylic on Canvas

Artist: Edward Karlsson . . . On my way to a totally different destination where I thought I was going to shoot some very scenic pictures of a waterfall. I passed this place. This location, in the south west part of Sweden, is awonderful place to go in the summertime. To bathe and enjoy the warmth of the sunlight. This anchored raft is usually situated far out into the lake for people to swim out too. There they can play, dive or just bask in the sun. The contrast of this quiet winter morning plays abeautiful picture of serenity and peace. The raft is pulled in closer to the shore and is resting in wait for the next summer season. In the light of this winter dawn it looks crooked and old, tired and worn out but in the summer it will spring to life and bring joy to many a visitors again. In hindsight, when Ilook back at the picture Iwas able to capture at the waterfall. What really stayed with med was this surreal moment I found here at this lake.

Artist: Edward Karlsson . . . An early September morning, when the family was still asleep, I was able to sneak out for a bike ride. As with so many times before, I had my camera along for the ride. It was a beautiful morning and I purposely chose a route that would take me by afield that I had seen so many times before. The dawn was beautiful, mist was low and the colors blended together perfectly creat- ing a soft, almost surreal moment in time. I was reminded by many of the stories I was told as a child, that the mist, in reality was ferries dancing in the fields. And as I watched I could almost see them come alive.

Artist: Raliza Georgieva, Italian Artist. Her research combines theater, cinema, pantomime and painting. The themes are often very strong based on the fate of the human and his imprisonment; “The Cage” that everyone tries to break. . . Spectrum: “...I feel alone, like a prisoner thrown into a deep well., I don’t know where I am and what awaits me... “Nina’s monologue. A. Chekhov” , , , Dancing between the world of theater and that of painting, I am often inspired to make a union between the two great styles of art. This work represents this woman (a self-portrait of me) running in the dark. It is represented in her solitude, running away from something that anguishes us public and behind her there is the ghostly ghost of her that is stopping her. She always turns to us; she looks us straight in the face as in Bertolt Brecht’s Theater.2022
