Zweig Group’s 2020-2021 Recruitment & Retention Report of AEC Firms provides insight on how the pandemic has affected staff growth rates over the course of the last year. The chart above shows the number of full-time employees who joined and left the firm as a percentage of total staff by year. While the average percentage of employees leaving firms held steady at around 14 percent, the AEC industry saw a steep drop in the number of employees it was taking on.
