A PRESENTATION by Jamie Breese
What Is Networking?
“Effective business networking is the linking together of individuals who, through trust and relationship building, become walking, talking advertisements for one another.”
What Is Networking? A powerful skill, that when performed well and maintained, allows you to find a job, career, contract or other similar opportunity in waiting. Establishing trust and developing a great reputation is critical.

So, WHY is it a TRULY GREAT time to graduate?
a "medieval mercenary warrior" or "free-lance" (indicating that the lance is not sworn to any lord's services, not that the lance is available free of charge).
To Summarise then…
-your ruler probably didn’t know your town
- you rarely had a chance to network or meet potential employers
- you’d not know what was going on in the next major settlement - life was exceptionally hard . No networking groups - you wouldn’t see any form of change or progress in your lifetime
- there was no way you could promote yourself via a selfie
* N.B there is, generally speaking, no such thing now as a career for life in the West
