CONNECT WITH US
While small adjustments will continue to be made, our updated website is 99% ready to go! One of the MOST IMPORTANT adjustments we have made is a new menu page called CONNECT. Here you will be able to connect with staff, social media, other members through the directory, etc. In addition, if you have mistakenly unsubscribed from our email list, you will be able to add yourself back on ASAP. Or, if you have an additional email address you would like to add you can do that as well. Email is our top form of communication, espcially now, so stay informed, stay updated...and spend some time checking out the new site.

Speaking of ‘firsts’, Bob Brady made his first ever eagle on #6 South from 129 yards. Terrific shots!

GROUNDS
Dear Members,
Due to the pandemic and the need to reduce our staffing size, we have pushed off the major aeration of the North Course tees and fairways this spring. However, to have the greens get through the hot, humid summer weather, there is a need to open up surfaces for thatch management and air exchange. The tine size will be small and minimally invasive, disturbing about 1%of the total green surface. Conversely, a conventional aeration will disturb approximately 10%, if not more, of the putting surface. The clay courts have been reconditioned and Assistant Racquets Professional ScottMcNamara is helping to roll the lines in advance of play returning in the near future. We have planted arborvitae between courts two through seven, and will plant additional shrubbery between the grass courts and two remaining clay courts as the tennis project comes to a close. We are in the throws of time when necessary plant protection materials must be applied to ward off pests that would cause harm to our playing surfaces. We thank you for working with us as the need arises to restrict non-golf waking on either golf course. Have a great week and stay well!
Regards, Jon Urbanski Director of Golf Courses & Grounds
TENNIS PROJECT It was another great week at the tennis project. With the framing of the new lobby complete, work is underway to make the structure weather tight. Roofers have been on site and early this week, exterior windows/doors will be installed. Rough-in work to the new bathrooms as well as installation of ducting for the HVAC system has also begun. A couple of small adjustments have been made to the internal layout of the space. It is amazing how much easier this is to accomplish once there is a full-size model to work with. Walking through the project, you can really get a sense of how significant an improvement this will be to our overall Racquets facility. Exciting!
