Area General Manager Message
Keeping you and your families safe is our main priority.
We are currently in the process of planning our reopening, working on the new SOP ’ s and making sure we have a proper plan for when you are all back. Some of you are back home and others are in accommodation, the most important thing to remember is we are together, we are one, we will get through this and there is a light at the end of the tunnel that will only push us forward as a Team.

Service Tips during COVID - 19: in - venue

Social distancing is hard but in Hospitality its all about the Service. Check this lesson to learn how to greet and serve your customers while respecting the physical and social distancing.

Turtles
Turtles belong to one of the oldest reptile group in the World.
With Shangri - La Barr Al Jissah being one of the 5 beaches where nesting and hatching of sea turtles occurs, this season was no different with over 100 nests and still going. The Resort is empty but our turtles are there, sometimes all it take is a bit of time and some hope for things to get back on track. As far as our turtles go they always come back and so will the Resort with our efforts put as One.
4 SOP Section — Colleagues Accommodation
Our new section is all about the new post Covid - 19 standard operating procedures. Each week we will be sharing new guidelines related to colleagues, guests, departments and the Hotel. It will give us a chance to identify the new normal, become familiarized with all we need to know and start preparing ourselves to master the new standards to live up to being our Guests and Colleagues first choice.
Colleagues Meals
Temperature Checks
Meals will now be delivered to Colleagues rooms. A QR code will be sent out weekly to colleagues to fill up the meal requests and timings to ensure the health and safety of colleagues and to prevent contamination or social encounters.
Colleagues temperatures to be checked daily in the accommodation. Anyone entering or exiting the accommodation will also be checked. Records will be kept to ensure all colleagues are safe.
Grocery Shopping
Human Resources Team will coordinate with assigned colleagues for each team who will be responsible to take the grocery list order and go with the HR team to buy the necessary items. All items to be sanitized before entering the accommodation premises.

How to wear a Mask
WHO has published updated guidance on the use of masks for control of COVID - 19. The new guidance is based on evolving evidence and provides updates on who should wear a mask, when it should be worn and what it should be made of. It remains critical that people who use masks continue to take a comprehensive approach to protecting their health, including physical distancing and hand hygiene.
