WHEN ICICLES GLISTEN A CHESTNUT CHRISTMAS MIRACLE CAST:
Matthew Cantone (Governor Ging G. Gingerbread/Gerard Chestnut) is an entrepreneurial 9th grader. He has had a lot of fun preparing for his roles in his first production with The Rising Star Players. He most recently played Lt. Ample Porridge in the Cast N Crew production of Wagon Wheels a-Rollin’. In 2019 he was in the ensemble of The Hobbit at the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre where he played a goblin, a dwarf and helped puppeteer the giant spider. In 2018 he attended the Summer Theatre Academy, where he created and played the role of Julius Geezer in the dark comedy, Escapecapeds. Every summer he acts in productions by the Missoula Children's Theatre Company. Some of his credits are The Wizard of Oz, Rapunzel, The Pied Piper, and Pinocchio. In his spare time he practices Jiu Jitsu, plays piano, and loves playing video games and building LEGOs. K’Torri Greenwood , (Hayden Chestnut). This is my first year with The Rising Star. I love to act, rap, and more. I am 15 years old. I have participated with Cast and Crew, home schooling acting program, with Ms. Cathy. It is an honor to work with Mr. Brian and Mr. Mason. I want to thank the both of them for taking the time to teach me how to be successful in acting and performing. Now, it’s time to sit back, relax, and enjoy our show.

Abigail Haggard (Flora Chestnut) is very excited to be participating in her first onscreen production. Abigail was scheduled to perform two theater productions at The Royal Theatre in Benton Arkansas, but these were cancelled due to covid. She is very thankful that Mr. Brian and Mr. Mason and SCL for offering a theater program during these hard times. Abigail has worked with SCL Theater for 3 years and looks forward to participating in many more productions in the future. Lastly Abigail would like to thank her mom and dad, Nathan and Jana Haggard for supporting her through the years.
Dina Liachenko (Mysterious Voice, Elves, and Gingerbread Guards) is excited to finally perform in a real show. The previous production she was in, “An Unfortunate Misfortune,” (she played Wayne Graves and Detective) had to be stopped abruptly because of the sudden outburst of coronavirus. Hopefully, that production will be put up someday after the pandemic ends. Dina would like to thank Brian Roberson (director) and Mason Newberry (co-director) for putting up this wonderful show. She would also like to thank her parents for signing her up and always supporting her in all her endeavors. She hopes you will all enjoy this show.

Scarlett Morehead (David Chestnut) is delighted to be a part of When Icicles Glisten: A Chestnut Christmas Miracle. Scarlett has been a part of the Saline County Library Theater for three years. Some of her previous performances include a rambunctious lemur (Shipwreck Island), and Edmund Spicer (A Misfortunate Misfortune). She would like to thank her theater coaches Brian, Mason, and Jessica for all the instruction they have given her. She would also like to thank her theater peers for encouragement and friendship.
Evalyn Russum (Storyteller) thrilled to be performing in this voice acted show with all her cast members! This is her first time doing an on screen performance, but she has done many shows before at the Saline County Library with Children's Theater. She has also been in the ensemble of “Sleeping beauty” at The Royal Theater. It has been a tough year for all of us, especially the theater people of the world. So Evalyn wants to thank Brian Robinson and Mason Newberry for making this wonder happen. They have put so much work in and it really shows. Evalyn also wants to thank her parents Doug and April Russum for always supporting her even when times are tough. Evalyn hopes you enjoy the show and have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Ashlyn Picking {Jackie Frost} is thrilled to be in her first radio show. Since she does not have much theater experience, she is very grateful for this opportunity. She wants to thank her director and co-director for all their hard work and patience. She also wishes to thank her supportive family. Ashlyn hopes you all enjoy the show, and that you all have a very merry Christmas.
Madison Picking (Hoolihan McStuffins) is a young thespian who is honored to portray Hoolihan McStuffins in her first- ever radio show. Madison's interests lie beyond acting as well; she loves song writing, baking, and practicing with her swim team. She is very thankful for those who choose to listen to this radio show.

Hadley Squires (Loretta Chestnut, Ginger guard, and Elves) is thrilled to be participating in this on screen theater production and would like to thank everyone that put in their time to make it happen. She is also profoundly grateful for her directors Mr. Brain and Mr. Mason for helping her with her theater journey. She would like to thank her parents for letting her pursue her love for the theater. She has been doing theater since she was 9 years old with the Saline County Library. She thanks you for watching and hopes you enjoy and have a very Merry Christmas!
Gabriel Wortham (Fros Telleux) is a big Christmas fan! As someone who loves acting more than almost anything else (except video games), Gabriel was ecstatic to find that the Saline County Library was hosting an acting event. Gabriel has been acting for 7 years in shows including A Christmas Story, A Christmas Carol, and To Kill a Mockingbird. Ever since he was 7 years old, Gabriel has aspired to become a famous actor in the future, or at least a fairly popular one. When all the stressful moments in life begin to pile up, Gabriel finds that putting on a good show for the audience can help all those stresses melt away. Gabriel would like to thank the SCL crew for giving him the opportunity to be part of this show. He wishes you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
