Meet Our Sales Account Manager, Erica! THE BIGGEST SURPRISES I HAD ABOUT AZCOMP
One thing I love about working at AZCOMP is that we embrace a key concept that not every IT company talks about: In technology, the same solution doesn’t work for everybody. As a sales account manager, my role is providing solutions for doctors or companies that need our technology for their business. I love it, and as of this December, I will have worked here for seven years. I first discovered the company through a newspaper ad, if you can believe it. I’d never worked in the software industry, so it came across as super interesting, even though it was just for a front desk position at the time. Eventually, I moved to the accounting department, and, just six months later, I took a leap of faith and started my role in sales. There are a lot of surprises that came with my first job in the software industry at AZCOMP. For one, AZCOMP is a very tightknit company. Everyone works closely together and takes care of each other as much as possible, even if that means working outside of your job role to put the customers first. That isn’t always the case I’ve found at other companies. However, there have been multiple instances when a client will be faced with unusual or urgent challenges, and I’ll ask someone, “Hey, could you help me help this client?” It never fails to amaze me that my coworkers are happy to make time in their day and move around their own workload just to help us out. It makes doing the “impossible” a lot easier because of our genuine teamwork. Another surprise about working at AZCOMP was how important and meaningful the work became to me. Initially when I applied, I realized just how interesting the work would be, but the longer I worked here, the more I realized the difference we can help make for our doctors and how these technological advancements make their patients’ lives better. There’s no better feeling than setting up a new service or technology at a doctor’s practice or help implement a new feature with our billing services that wasn’t there before. You know that now, their patients will have access to even better care. If anything comes up where they need help, our team will also be there to save the day.
The very reason we exist is because of our practices, billing services, managed services clients, and all of their staff, and they deserve the utmost care so they can keep doing what they do best. It’s very exciting to work at a company that truly philosophizes and cares about that. With over 20 years of being leaders in medical field technology, it’s amazing how much knowledge we’ve gained through our clients. I’m so grateful to work for such an incredible industry-leading company that goes beyond that status quo and offers some really great services and strives to give the best customer service to all of our clients.
“It never fails to amaze me that my coworkers are happy to make time in their day and move around their own workload just to help us out. It makes doing the ‘impossible’ a lot easier because of our genuine teamwork.”
Outside of work, I’m a mom to two boys, a 17 year-old and a 14-year-old. They keep me busy, and I wouldn’t have it any other
way. Spending time with family is a big part of my life, including time with my grandfather after losing my grandmother last year. It’s so important to have quality time with the people who are closest to you, and I definitely try not to take those everyday moments for granted.
Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you’ll have a beautiful August.

DON’T BE A CREDIT FRAUD VICTIM Protect Your Credit Card Info With These 5 Pro Tips
Credit card fraud can feel like a very invasive, violating crime when it happens to you. Suddenly, none of your assets or information feel safe. You can prevent the worst from happening, however, if you follow these five tips designed specifically for consumers in 2021. NO. 1: DON’T USE UNSECURE WEBSITES. If a site is truly secure, you’ll see a padlock on the left side of the address bar at the top of your browser, and the web address will start with “HTTPS.” Never enter your credit card number on a website that isn’t secure — any business that doesn’t protect its customers’ information probably doesn’t deserve your money. NO. 2: BEWARE OF PHISHING SCAMS. No matter what the caller ID says, the SSA will NEVER call you to confirm your Social Security number or account information in order to continue getting Social Security checks. Most banks and government agencies will never call you first to reach you; they’ll reach you by mail or email. And even in those cases, remember that the banks and government will never ask you to confirm intimate information over email or the phone. NO. 3: LOOK OUT FOR SKIMMERS. Many credit card thieves will use a device called a “skimmer,” hidden on ATMs and fuel pumps, to “skim” the >Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4
