Access Health Louisiana recognizes that balancing work and home life is not always easy. We encourage everyone to promote their own mental and physical health by utilizing our Self Care Guide. Each month, fun activities will be rolled out to encourage everyone to do independently or as a team. If you have suggestions, please reach out to our Behavioral Health Department. Thanks and Best Wishes for Happiness and Success
Dear Noelle (Raymond),
Thank you for the past year, working with Vanice Zenon and me, and supporting many of our initiatives in the BH Department. You assisted us in many ways that included developing spread sheets, and providing many helpful observations, edits and contributions. You fulfilled one of your roles and a PL to several BH providers, had your own clients who spoke highly of you, completed dozens of speacial projects and wrote this wellness magazine. We hate to see you go but are excited for your continued opportunities and successes. We wanted to send this open letter of thanks so that others will know that this will be your last month. We hope they will join Vanice and me in thanks and wishing only the very best for you in the coming years.
-- Jan M. Kasofsky, PhD & Vanice Zenon, LCSW
Behavioral Health Provider Tip of the Month
Literacy & Early Childhood Tip:
Read early and read often. The early years are critical to developing a lifelong love of reading. It's never too early to begin reading to your child. You can help your child become a happy and confident reader by doing the following: * Read together every day. * Give everything a name. Build your child's vocabulary by talking about interesting words and objects. * Read with fun in your voice. * Be interactive. * Read it again and again if your child enjoys it. * Point out print everywhere. Please be sure to see your child's pediatrician or teacher as soon as possible if you have concerns about your child's language development.
Vanice Zenon, LCSW Assistant Vice President of Behavioral Health
