Job Description Communications Coordinator
RESULTS STATEMENT: Ensure that expectations are met or exceeded by creating and managing content to support the strategic communications plan of Wilmington Country Club. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Implement the Club’s strategic communications plan through print communications, electronic communications, social media and the Club website & App. • Design content for print and electronic communications. • Support the communication goals of the Club’s depar tments to enhance member engagement. • Meet or exceed deadlines in communications timelines; manage content submissions and proactively seek information from departments to meet deadlines. • Maintain the Club’s website. • Maintain and update Club app. • Design print and digital collateral in support of and in collaboration with Club departments. • Design and printing of monthly newsletter, Club signage, dining menus, event collateral, etc. • Develop, design, and schedule email in accordance with the strategic communications plan. • Manage social media accounts and post frequently. • Collect photos/video of Club activities, events and food for use in print and digital collateral and social media. These events require occasional nights, weekends and holidays. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Internally motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Able to manage successful communications plans/timelines Detail oriented Brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm to implement integrated communications Very good communication skills – writing, speaking, listening, and presenting EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: College degree in graphic design, art, marketing, or related field required (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Must have proven abilities in basic design software, Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, etc) Experience with photography and videography; knowledge of video editing software such as iMovie, Final
Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, or similar a plus Knowledge of Wordpress and basic html
SCHEDULE & OTHER DETAILS: Full-Time hourly with benefits. Expectations to work some evenings/weekends which will be scheduled in advance.
