Choosing Your Basin & Bath Mixer We’ve made it easier than ever to create a complete solution that delivers on each element of bathroom function.

1. Choose your style For the most comfortable operation and a modern look choose contemporary mixers with single lever operation. To capture the essence of years gone by, choose classic features such as crosshead handles, ceramic inserts and exquisite detailing.

2. Identify your water system To ensure the best possible performance, it is essential to choose products that are appropriate for the water pressure in your home. All products in this brochure are marked with a minimum pressure requirement to help you select the correct product. For full details of UK water systems and the water pressure they deliver, please see page 334. 3. Choose your product type Most basins come with either 1, 2 or 3 tap holes. Many modern basins have a single tap hole that will accommodate a monobloc mixer tap which mixes the hot and cold with a single control handle. Traditional-style basins are likely to come with 2 holes for separate hot and cold pillar taps. Bath taps can be mounted on the deck, wall or in some circumstances on the floor. Deck mounted bath fillers can also include a shower handset. Additionally, if you have a bidet, we offer bidet mixers in selected ranges.

Basin monobloc mixers need to be paired with a simple click-clack waste (A), but some also offer a pop-up waste (B). For smaller basins, a range of mini mixers are available, page 264.

Basin pillar taps are for two tap hole basins and feature separate controls for hot and cold water.

Basin 3 hole mixers accommodate hot and cold controls along with a separate water spout. These can be deck and wall mounted.

Creating Your Perfect Shower Experience Choosing your perfect shower is an intensely personal choice. You may prefer a fixed overhead shower, the flexibility of a handset or body jets to create an enjoyable spa-like experience. Your showering preference may be to invigorate and wake you up, or to help you relax at the end of a long day.

One outlet showers deliver water to a single outlet. Examples of shower outlets and installation types are listed below.

Handsets which sit in a bracket which is attached to the wall provide the ideal solution when accommodating for a second shower outlet. They include compatible hoses and wall outlets for a minimal design which will complement your existing brassware.

Ideal for families where there are variances in height, a handset and rail kit adjust the shower handset to individual heights and angles. All riser rails are friction free, so they can effortlessly glide to the right position.

Body jets are fitted into the wall and can be positioned to suit you. The range has numerous options in terms of design and function. Many of the body jets are adjustable and can be placed easily for each user. There are also rotating options which provide an invigorating spa-like experience for the user.

Choosing a Thermostatic Shower Valve Shower valves control the flow of water and temperature. To ensure the very best levels of safety and comfort, you should always choose a thermostatic option.

Quality & Performance All Crosswater thermostatic showers use only the highest quality components such as the class-leading CA43 thermostatic cartridge from Vernet and Fluhs ceramic discs, both of which deliver precise temperature and flow control, even after years of prolonged use. Thermostatic showers are designed to maintain the water temperature, so if somebody flushes the toilet or turns on another tap somewhere else in the house your shower is never affected ensuring complete comfort. Safety Thermostatic shower valves feature an in built anti-scald device to protect you and your family. All flow controls are sourced from the internationally renowned German producer Fluhs delivering ease of use, reliability and longevity.

To keep water safe and healthy Crossbox uses non-return valves form the industry’s gold standard supplier Neopearl.

Each Crossbox Universal Valve has been fully approved by both WRAS and KIWA for complete peace of mind.*

Conventional Handle Crossbox features a single flow control which can divert between 1, 2 or 3 water outlets. On a 2 outlet version, either outlet can be on individually or both together. On a 3 outlet version, each outlet can be on separately but not together with any other. Thermostatic temperature control Push Button MPRO only Crossbox Push features 2 or 3 easy to operate push buttons to switch the water flow on and off. Water outlets can be on individually or at the same time as each other. A simple flow control ring surrounds the push buttons allowing you to control the overall water volume to perfectly match your personal preference. Thermostatic temperature control

Multifunction thermostatic shower systems extend the exposed offer incorporating a versatile handset, overhead shower and valve in one single product. For our full range see page 302.

Unlike thermostatic shower valves, manual shower valves do not regulate the temperature of the water. So, if somebody should turn on another tap elsewhere in the house, you may find that the water runs too hot or too cold. This can mean manual shower valves aren’t always suitable for some, as there is the possibility that the water may become uncomfortably hot.

Crosswater’s exposed thermostatic shower mixers are as safe and easy to use as the recessed valves but are fitted on-the-wall rather than behind it. They all feature an easy-to-use installation kit for convenient fitting and are most often used when replacing an existing exposed shower or in a situation where it is not suitable to dig into the wall.
