Container Graphics Acquires General Graphics Container Graphics Corporation, Cary, North Caroli- na, has acquired General Graphics and its locations in Jacksonville, Florida, and Winter Haven, Florida. Both locations manufacture flexographic printing plates and rotary and flat cutting dies for the corrugated in- dustry as well as for other packaging segments. Gener- al Graphics was founded in 1966 by Charles E.Wilson. CGC’s existing locations in Jacksonville and Winter Haven will be integrated into the former General Graphics facilities. The combined locations will be overseen by Bill Farber, CGC’s Southeast Regional Vice President. General Graphics’ former owners, Danny Wilson and Rob Haynes, will remain with the business. Flexi-Vel To Represent Eaglewood Technologies Flexi-Vel S.A. de C.V. has entered an exclusive dealer agreement with Eaglewood Technologies, anilox roll cleaning experts. Flexi-Vel will represent the Laserlox by Sitexco Systems as well as Sanilox Systems, in Mexico and Central America. Flexi-Vel is a supplier of machinery and equipment in the film extrusion, conversion, printing, bag making, plastic recycling, corrugated and label industries in Mexico and Central America for more than 46 years. ProAmpac Acquires Bonita Pioneer Packaging Products ProAmpac, Cincinnati, Ohio, has acquired Oregon- based Bonita Pioneer Packaging Products, a company specializing in paper packaging products including custom and stock shopping bags, merchandise bags, foodservice packaging, and folding cartons, that com- plements ProAmpac’s existing flexible packaging of- ferings. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. ProAmpac is owned by Pritzker Group Private Cap- ital along with management and co-investors. With the addition of Bonita, ProAmpac now has 27 manu- facturing sites globally with nearly 3,300 employees supplying more than 5,000 customers in 90 coun- tries. ProAmpac primarily manufactures products ser- vicing the food, pet care, health care, lawn care, and retail markets as well as providing secure packaging for the transport of cash and valuables. Bonita Packaging Products was founded in 1989 in Portland, Oregon; it will become part of the ProAm- pac brand and operate as part of the U.S. Flexibles Di- vision, led by President Tom Geyer.

AWT Labels Installs Mark Andy P5 Series Press AWT Labels & Packaging has installed a Mark Andy P5 Series 17-inch press. The new ten-unit press is equipped for rotary screen, cold foil, film package, full chill system, LED curing, and has a rail for the turn bar and unwind/rewind units. It also features a Quick Change Die Cut System, which allows for die change overs in less than two minutes. “The new P5 gives us the additional capacity and capabilities we need to continue to pursue our tar- geted markets,” said Ted Biggs,Vice President of Man- ufacturing. This is the third P5 17-inch press AWT has installed since August, 2014. Heralding its new mission to drive printing industry growth, NPES - The Association for Suppliers of Print- ing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, has an- nounced a name change to the Association for Print Technologies (APT). The new identity is both a nod to the Association’s signature annual event—PRINT —which it has produced since 1968, and also marks a defining moment in the Association’s 85-year histo- ry. Additionally, the new name signifies progress to- ward the completion of its Strategic Business Plan for the industry, which launched in January 2017.
