The PresidenT’s corner

CMDA Members, Sponsors and Partners,

The year keeps moving faster than ever. Our industry keeps moving and evolving as well. Our newest challenges include vehicle electrification, autonomous vehicles and how we, as dealers, are going to handle the shift as a dealer network. It is issues like these, as well as the variety of dealer diversity efforts, that the CMDA Board continues to discuss with our OEM partner Stellantis and through CMDA’s participation on the NAMAD Board. As an extension of that, the Board’s job is to ensure that our dealer members continue to be abreast of these issues and other relevant issues as well. As such, we strive to maintain a great line of communication with all of our members and partners so that we can continue to find the best ways to continue assist all of you in the best ways possible. One of the greatest lines of communications that we have is our membership meetings. Please be certain to join us in San Antonio, TX on September 22 – 24 for our 2021 Summer Membership Meeting. We have not seen each other in quite a while, so it promises to be a good and valuable time.

Words From Our Executive Director

Members and Stakeholders of the Chrysler Minority Dealers Association,

I am so glad that the winds of Summer are starting to blow again. It is my favorite time of year. I am even more pleased that the winds of change are starting to blow away many of the negatives that this COVID situation has brought us over the last 15 months or so.

People are starting to get back out again and interact with one another in various ways like we used to do in “the good old days” before 2020.

We at the Association want to interact with you as well. That’s why we invite you to attend our 2021 Summer Membership Meeting that we will be having in September.

We miss all of you and look forward to spending some time with you and catching up on your professional and personal endeavors.

We are a family and this year our 2021 Summer Meeting will be like our family reunion. So please join the family this year as we gather together and share in each others company.

Membership benefits

Additionally, CMDA members are entitled to the following financial benefits as well:

Training Support – ($10,000) - A $10,000 reimbursement for training and operational support activities, including 20 Group activities, Stellantis Performance Institute training expenses and Degrees@Work Program. CMDA Member Meeting Participation – ($7,000) - Annual reimbursement of up to $3,500 reimbursement for meeting expenses for both the CMDA Annual Meeting and Summer Meeting. A total possible annual reimbursement of $7,000. NADA Dealer Academy Minority Candidate Support – ($3,000) - An annual $3,000 reimbursement to assist in the development of the next generation of minority dealers who attend the NADA Dealer Academy. Charitable Event / Donation Support – ($2,000) - An annual $2,000 reimbursement to assist members with their local charitable endeavors and emphasize the importance of community support. NAMAD Membership Dues Payment – ($500) - Membership and payment of annual dues in the National Association for Minority Automobile Dealers (NAMAD).

NADA Annual Convention Registration Reimbursement - Reimbursement for registration fees for the annual NADA Convention.
