AMARILLO COUNTRY CLUB LADIES GOLF ASSOCIATION BY-LAWS

ARTICLE I NAME The name of the organization shall be THE LADIES GOLF ASSOCIATION OF AMARILLO COUNTRY CLUB ARTICLE II MEMBERS AND DUES Section 1. Members. A member with current dues paid is entitled to Participate in all the affairs of the Association Section 2. Dues. The annual dues of the Association shall be $75.00 ARTICLE III OFFICERS AND THEIR ELECTION Section 1. Officers. The elected officers shall be a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Tournament Director. The immediate Past. President shall serve as Parliamentarian. Section 2. Nominating Committee. The President shall appoint

by September a Nominating Committee of at least three members to present a slate of officers to the membership at the November Association meeting. The President shall Designate the Chairman of the Committee.

Section 3. Terms. Officers shall be elected for a term of one (1) Year. Their term of office shall begin on January 1. Section 4. Vacancies. A Vacancy occurring in any office shall be Filled by Executive Committee.

ARTICLE IV DUTIES OF OFFICERS

Section1.

President. The President shall appoint all committees, shall Preside at all meetings, and serve as the Course Oversight Committee Representative from the LGA at the ACC course Oversight Committee meetings and report to the LGA, and Shall be an ex-office member of all committees. The President and Treasurer shall present an annual budget for Approval by the Executive Committee.

Section 2. Vice President. The Vice President shall perform the Duties of the President in her absence. She shall keep a scrapbook of the current year and shall be in charge of

taking picture for the ACC bulletin and LGA scrapbook She shall also choose the gift for the outgoing president.

Section 3. Secretary. The Secretary shall keep a record of all proceedings and handle all the Association correspondence. Section 4. Treasurer. The Treasurer shall handle all funds of the Association. Shall assist the president in developing an annual budget for approval by the Executive Committee. She shall also be responsible for the payment of al bills, Shall render a financial report at the regular monthly meeting and present a copy to the President and Secretary, At the conclusion of the year shal present a written financial Statement of the year’s receipts and expenditures. Section 5. Tournament Director. The Tournament Director shall plan All regular golf events and weekly play of the year and Determine the awarding of prizes. Section 6. Parliamentarian. The Parliamentarian shall act as advisor In matters pertaining to parliamentary law and procedure, shall attend all Executive Committee meetings and all Regular meetings. ARTICLE V EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE Section 1. Composition. The Executive Committee shall be Composed of all elected officers and the Parliamentarian. Section 2. Meetings. Meetings shall be at the call of the President. Section 3. Quorum. Three (3) members shall constitute a quorum. Only elected officers shall be counted for a quorum. Section 4. Duties. The Executive Committee shall present an annual budget for approval by the membership. ARTICLE VI MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS Section 1. Meetings. Meetings of the Association shall be held On the first Tuesday of each month unless the President Otherwise directs as to a cancellation or a change of date. The President or when directed by the Executive Committee may call a special meeting with proper notice of at least three (3) days to the membership. Section 2. Quorum. A quorum shall be the members attending a Meeting.

ARTICLE VII COMMITTEES AND DUTIES OF CHAIRMEN Section 1. Standing Committees. The Standing Committees shall be Appointed by the President. The Standing Committees shall be: a. Yearbook b. Social Section 2. Yearbook. The Yearbook Chairman will plan and publish a yearbook to be distributed and/or published on the ACC Website by the end of April. Section 3. Social. The Social Chairman shall assist the president In the planning of the Association social events. Section 4. Special Committee. Special Committee shall be appointed by the President as the Association or the Executive Committee shall deem necessary.

ARTICLE VIII AMENDMENT OF BY LAWS

The rules contained in the current edition of ROBERT’S RULES OF ORDER NEWLY REVISED shall govern the Association in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with these Bylaws and any special rules or order the Association may adopt.

ARTICLE IX AMENDMENT OF BY LAWS

These may be amended at any regular meeting by a twothirds (⅔) vote of all members present, provided the amendment has been approved by the Executive Committee. STANDING RULES 1. The Association shall play according to the rules of the World Handicap System, except where modified by local rules as are in force. 2. The Association Ladies Day will be Tuesday of each week. 3. No member shall be eligible for prizes unless playing with other association members. 4. A golfer’s handicap shall be determined by the U.S.G.A. Ghin .Method. 5. The club pro will have the discretion to determine a fair handicap up to a maximum of 36 strokes for any member to be eligible for prizes and who does not have an established handicap. 6. All resolutions regarding expenditures shall be submitted to the Executive Committee for approval. This includes tournaments and

donations. 7. A memorial not to exceed $25.00 shall be sent on the death of a member, husband or children. A card will be sent in the event of a relative’s death. 8. The Ladies Golf Association shall sponsor the Jack-n-Jill Tournament and the Couples Tournament. Participants in both tournaments shall be members of Amarillo Country Club. In accordance with Acc Bylaws, Article II, Section 2, a player who meets the requirements of the ACC Bylaws may participate. 9. The Ladies Golf Association shall annually sponsor the ACC Ladies Club Championship Tournament. Participants must be members of the ACC Ladies Golf Association.
