On the Move December 2019

ON THE MOVE DECEMBER 2019

End of the Year Message

We were blessed with a wonerful year of growth in 2019. Between opening a second location, adding to our team, and increasing the services we offer to our patients, it certainly has been a busy year, but also a very rewarding one. As the year comes to a close and we are thinking back on our time in 2019, we’d like to thank our patients for their trust in us. Without you, none of this would be possible and you are certainly the reason for it all! Our 2019 was filled with great beginnings and we hope yours was too! We are looking forward to everything 2020 has in store for us.

New Location Opening!

In May, we expanded our practice to better serve Lafayette by opening a second location at the corner of Johnston Street and W. Broussard Road. This location is perfectly accessible for our patients commuting from Vermilion Parish and living in the expanding areas of south Lafayette. Our goal was to provide better access for our patients and we’ve been happy to be operating both locations for the last six months!

This year, not only did we expand our practice to a second location, but we also expanded our services to better provide a more holistic physical therapy experience for our patients. Two of our therapists, André and Nick, are now certified to perform Functional Dry Needling on patients. Dry Needling uses a fine filament needle without medication or injection into muscle tissue to alleviate pain and dysfunction. We also began a partnership with Dorian Driscoll, our new registered and licensed dietician, to offer nutritional consulting services. With 24 years of private practice experience, her passion lies in guiding her clients to success by breaking down the multitude of myths for weight loss while aiding them to implement steps for healthy lifestyle changes.

New Team Members

You might have noticed a few new faces around the office this year! We’d like to officially welcome Emma Granger as our newest physical therapist! You’ll be able to find her at our Doucet location. We’d also like to welcome Anne and Hunter to our team at the Johnston Street location assisting Nick. Emma Anne Hunter

As of June 6, 2016, physical therapy services can be provided without the need of physician referral. That means you do not have to wait for a doctor to refer you to us in order to be treated by a physical therapist. If you are experiencing pain or a restriction in your movement, please get in contact with us and we will help! You can call us at 337-991-9972.

André Guerin

Meet one of our therapists, André! André has been with Tri-City Physical Therapy since 1999 and has enjoyed interacting with his patients in order to provide a healing experience. A lifelong resident of Lafayette, André has been married to his wife Rebecca for 18 years and they have five sons – Ethan, Jackson, William, Lucas, and Sam.

Patient Testimonial: Dr. Kenneth McCarron

Not only is Dr. McCarron a referring physician, but he is also a patient at Tri- City Physical Therapy! As he is able to tell you, we work very closely with our patients’ physicians to make sure that the rehabilitative care we provide is exactly what our patients medically need. To hear more, watch his video!
