ADDENDUM NO. 1 BID PROPOSAL NO. 1101 REPLACEMENT OF MAIN ROOF – WEST HILLS CENTER JUNE 24, 2022

General
1.1
The lightning projection on the main roof will have to be recertified.
1.2
Plumbing:
A. All drains will be replaced with new cast iron drain assemblies.
B. Three new drains will be installed. It was conveyed during the prebid that the ceiling is not a plenum ceiling. Therefore, PVC piping will be used. The drains installed (new and existing locations) will be insulated with plastic bowl covers. The piping and only the new piping will be insulated. CCAC will contact EIS Solar to remove the solar panels prior to roof installation and reinstallation when the roof is complete. CCAC will cover those costs. The roofing contractor will provide precut slip sheets of TPA material to be provided to the solar company.

1.4 The roofing contractor will be responsible for wood required to raise any units, skylights, etc. to acceptable flashing heights. The roofing contractor will not be required for any finishing drywall within the skylights or disconnects for any units. This work, if needed, will be the responsibility of CCAC. 1.5 CCAC is currently evaluating all the units/items that are listed as obsolete (e.g. the firehoses) or abandoned in place. See attached drawing. More information will be reported on this in a future addendum. 1.6 CCAC would like the roofing contractor to remove the one obsolete HVAC unit from the roof. CCAC will evacuate the unit and disconnect any electric and plumbing. CCAC would like the roofing contractor to supply a metal, double broke, cap over the unit curb and the portal curb. 1.7 The six (6) canopies that cover doors will be replaced. New wood blocking will be installed. New 1.5 inches of isocyanurate will be adhered to the metal deck with low rise foam insulation adhesive. Tapered edge strips will be installed to kick water away from the back wall. Install the new TPA membrane with a drip edge made from TPA metal.
1.8 The two newer canopies that were installed in 2006 when CCAC purchased the building has fully adhered EPDM roofs. These roof systems will be restored with Alphaguard MTS.

1.9 The wastewater treatment facility will be included in this project. More information will be supplied in a future addendum.
1.10 The two ladders on the roof will be removed by the roofing contractor. Therefore, no permanent safety will be required in those areas. The roofing contractor will touch up/repair the metal extender in these areas.
1.11 The perimeter coping metal will be metal shall be 0.050” aluminum, Kynar standard colors. The existing metal extender will remain.
