Put up a post asking for those that have worked with you or bought from you, to leave you a review on your Facebook page. Check your Facebook reviews - you may have received some that you didn't even know about!

Reply to every single review and THANK those customers for leaving you some great words!

Check the comment section of your posts

If you're consistently posting and you already have a community that supports what you do, you might have a lot of little gold nuggets lying around in the comments of your social media posts - use them!

To encourage more people to leave comments/feedback on your posts, ask a question at the end of your posts.

Do a testimonial swap

Ask your business owner friends to do a testimonial swap with you if you've used each other's products/services. OR Go ahead and leave them a review which encourages them to do the same for you.

Offer something of value in exchange for a testimonial

Offer a FREE product/service in exchange for an honest testimonial. Offer an incentive, such as a discount code on their next purchase with proof of a review. Check the T&C's of the site you want to offer incentives on. (Sites such as Yelp and Google, ban offering direct incentives).

If you do reward customers for their review, disclose that in the testimonial.

Send an automated email after a purchase

Set up an automated review app which will send a request for a review within a time frame of receiving your product. Your customers are your biggest fans - so just ask, and they'll be happy to give you an honest review!

Get reviews on niche review sites.

Where is your audience? Are they hanging out on niche review sites? Yelp, Expedia, Travelocity, TripAdvisor, AirBnB, Trust Pilot and so many more. If your customers are there, you need to be there too!
