2. Overview of The Committee Charter
Meetings
The Committee shall hold regular meetings at such times as the President requests or the Committee Chair determines.
Powers of the Committee
The Committee is authorized to review and to:
• Approve compensation and benefits of individual Faculty and Staff as long as the amount is within approved budget. • Approve the University’s compensation and benefit programs and structures.
Responsibilities
• Review and evaluate the University’s compensation and benefit programs and structures to ensure they are competitive every two years.
• Review and approve recommendations from the President for annual merit adjustments to compensation payable to Faculty and Staff.
• Periodically review and receive reports regarding the University’s human resource initiatives to ensure they are consistent with best practices and they enhance the University’s working environment and productivity.
