M ay is always so busy. Dance is in full swing. Brinkley is traveling everywhere. This means that Hope is traveling everywhere.Whichmeans that I am in charge of Baseball because Foster is travelingeverywhere. I know that it is super hectic right now, but I have talked to enough people in my life and career to know that I have to enjoy every moment of it because it goes by so fast. And then I get bored. So I am. I take time to sit, watch, talk, and take it all in. I try to notice the little things in life that

say that all the newmusic sounds the same or that it is not real music. You listen to classic rock, which is different for every generation. You are opinionated and don’t change much. Less flexible. Looking over the edge of anything more than 3 feet might even make you a little queasy. You are here until you wake up and notice, I mean really notice the changing of the leaves and you want to take a trip toNewEngland towatch the leaves turn colors. This is when you are a true, mature adult. I used to say that this was when you were old, but I am slowly understanding that you don’t have to be old to appreciate nature. I think that appreciating the turning of the leaves is what I was talking about earlier. It is realizing that thingsmove so fast that you want to take the time to enjoy every minute. Tohave those talks, to take thosewalks, to sit and just be, to spend your time where it really matters. Kenny Chesney wrote a song about it. Don’t Blink. It is so true. Just like that you’re 6 years old and you take a nap andwake up and you are 25. Sophie is gone. StoneGraduates thismonth. He leaves for Alabama really soon. Where does the time go? DON’T BLINK.

we too often take for granted. If you have ever listened to my idea about the phases of life then this will be a reminder. If not, here it goes.

I think that there are 3 basic phases of life. Youth, Middle, and Adult. Youth is from the time that you are born until you get toMiddle. Duh!! It is when you are really open to change. Youwant to experiment. You growand get your own ideas. Most people say that it lasts until about 25. I disagree. I think that this phase lasts until mid to late 30’s. At this point, you get kind of set. What marks the next phase?? Well I am glad that you asked. This next phase is when you get stuck in a generation of music. What does stuck mean? Everything beyond that point is just noise. You may find yourself complainingabout thenewmusic. Youmay even

Spring Into Better Health! These 4 springtime activities can be made more enjoyable with the help of PT

A physical therapy program can increase your fitness level and help you make the most of your favorite activities! Some of the most common activities that physical therapy can help you enjoy more fully are running, gardening, biking, and yoga. Running Running can be hard on the joints, especially as we age. One of the most common injuries that keep people from running without pain is shin splints. These occur when there is pain along the large bone in the front of the lower leg, known as the tibia or shin bone. They are normally due to poor alignment of the body, or weakness in the leg muscles. A physical therapist can help make sure your joint health is up to par before you hit the trails! Gardening Gardening usually requires you to get down on your hands and knees in the dirt! Physical therapy can help you to relieve any knee pain you’ve been experiencing that may keep you from spending time outside tending your flowers, fruits or vegetables. Severe knee injuries often include bone bruises or damage to the cartilage or ligaments, which a physical therapist can identify and remedy. Biking Biking is a super fun activity people enjoy doing as it warms up outside! Similar to running and gardening, however, biking can also prove to be difficult if you’re suffering from injuries that have not healed, or chronic pain conditions that restrict your mobility.

Physical therapy can help to mobilize your joints and help you build up strength and endurance so you can continue taking those long bike rides through the park, mountains, or city streets! Yoga Yoga is a great way to gently increase your heart rate and improve your levels of flexibility. It also strengthens your muscles! Many physical therapy programs already incorporate stretches that are found in yoga routines, however, if yoga is your preferred method of fitness, a physical therapist can help ease chronic aches and pains that may be making yoga difficult for you. The better you feel about your abilities to do your stretches and poses, the more often you can take your mat outside to practice! Pittman Physical Therapy offers many types of therapeutic methods to help athletes and weekend warriors alike to participate in whatever fitness or outdoor activity they love the most. If you’re interested in polishing up your physical abilities this season, pick up the phone and call our clinic today to schedule an appointment.
