Why do I say this ? Too good to be true , you might think ? Here are the facts . My family owned a very respectable piece of property on Merritt Island for quite some time . My father had passed and my mother was in need of personal care unfortunately putting us in the position of having to sell , something I really didn ' t wish to do , but had no choice . We chose a younger real estate agent , backed by a respectable company in the area to handle the sale . At first all went well , they seemed to understand our need , the property was priced well in line with the area and I figured the agent to be eager and aggressive enough to get us the result we needed . A year later and the only offer standing was approximately 300k less than our starting price ( while watching other similar properties sell in Brevard ) it was obviously time for a change . I chose to research properties similar to ours that had sold recently and on many of them , Silvia ' s name was listed as the selling agent . Crossing my fingers I contacted her by phone , left her a descriptive message and waited . Would you believe she called me back that evening and we spoke for almost two hours . Heck in the prior year , the time my prior agent spent with me on the phone came close to that single conversation I had with Silvia . We started immediately and might I say WOW ! 10 days into the new contract with Silvia , four offers hit the table ... the final offer was higher than our starting price by a good spread . During this time , my mother unfortunately passed away and the house had to enter probate . However , Silvia managed to keep the buyer interested through this six month long process and we brought the deal to a close as expected . Silvia and her team brought some justice to our family , exceeded our wildest expectations about the final outcome and handled the entire process with courtesy and professionalism that is hard to find these days in her field .
