Very friendly and professional staff! The valet, the front desk, the ginger bar attendant, room service and housekeeping attendants all very nice! Really enjoyed the quiet check in experience in the lower lobby entrance. Valet experience with our vehicle was very smooth. It would be nice to add a few more dessert options on the menu for the in room dining.

Hard to tell - i shared the info that the mattress was not in good supportive condition. The front desk person just noted it would be looked at. I would e curious as to the outcome. If they did agree the mattress was not reasonable and they have replaced it, I would likely stay again. But without that knowledge, I will stay at other options in the city so not to take the chance I get a mattress like that again.

Unfortunately the mattress was in terrible condition with dips and lack of support in various parts making sleep not as relaxing as I have come to know from Shangri-la at other locations.

Accommodation is excellent, but the food is not up to standard. You would expect better quality in such a good hotel. The overall experience was good, however, we were in room 815 and there were some electrical maintenance issues that should be addressed with that room. Bathroom - When using the dimmer to dim the lights, the light above the shower would start flickering like a strobe light, meaning that the dimmer could not be used. Bathroom - The wall mounted magnified mirror's lights would flicker when turned on. Nightstand - The nightlight on the right hand side nightstand was not working. Vanity - The lighted mirror in front of the vanity/make-up desk in the room had only one of the two lights working. Closet - The light which is supposed to activate when the closet door is opened did not work sometimes. The staff and service was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issues were the electrical problems. Should have some bar body soap. Some are allergic to liquid soap. Thermostat controls didn't seem to work well. The receptionist at check-out said she would email my statement. I have not received it. Hotel rooms were very dusty. We wanted to order breakfast in bed and I was shocked to see you did not have a vegetarian eggs option. We also ate in the restaurant which has some vegetarian options but was told it was Italian and they dont do vegetarian. As someone who has lived in Italy for a great part of my life this is simply not true.

When you stay at a hotel of this caliber, you expect perfection. This was not the case. Purchased a package and twice was charged for or did not receive a discount for items that were included in package. One of two issues resolved and need to call for the other. Service was good and staff attentive. Nothing distracts you from a spa treatment than "freedom" folks blasting horns, but you can hardly fault the hotel for this. Generally a good stay, just did not reach the bar I anticipated. Will try somewhere else next time. Staff was all extremely lovely and welcoming. I found the rooms lacked a bit of cozy was thorough (no blankets, toss cushions and the couch was uncomfortably low to the ground). As we were staying with our dogs, (which made going out impossible as we couldn’t leave them alone) we ordered room service but there’s no where to eat dinner except crouched around the coffee table.

One charge was removed. The other, I have yet to call to inquire.
