WEEK 1: June 7-10 (4 days)

MORNING Camps

Design Thinking Project: Pip Challenges Children meet Pip and use a variety of materials to complete challenges. Pip is incredibly curious and often finds himself in sticky situations. In this open build module, children use their creative problem-solving skills to help Pip get a grip. Papier Mâché Pomegranate Trees Campers will explore papier mâché by making their pomegranate trees. Understanding what the tree symbolizes will guide campers to create a unique base for their tree to grow from. Finally, they will write particular messages or symbols on their bases. The activity will develop critical thinking and a beautiful piece of art. Basketball Campers will focus on the basic fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, basic defending and court awareness. This will happen through specific drills and games that will allow campers to grow in every area. Campers will also get to play other forms of game (not always 5 on 5 basketball) to make learning the skills more fun. We will also have games played that build basketball strengths. Campers will also compete in similar skills competitions at the end of the week to the NBA All Star Challenge. ART-chitects: Engineering and Art (Little Scholars) In this camp, kids will learn the basics of architecture including drawing, designing, and creating structures and buildings. Design the home of your dreams, discover the inspiration for famous buildings and bridges, or plan a new roller coaster for your favorite theme park. Unleash your inner art-chitect with us this summer.

Afternoon Camps

Magic Chemistry Boom! Join this Magic Chemistry course for fascinating and fun hands-on chemistry laboratory investigations. Campers will make real-world connections during the exploration of physical and chemical reactions. Experiments, concoctions, videos and much more will be experienced during this interactive class. Peace Windows Campers will create stained glass windows in the style of Marc Chagall’s Jerusalem stained glass windows. The campers will study the symbolism and meaning behind the 12 stained glass windows for the synagogue at the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Centers in Jerusalem. The campers will create their designs using symbols and drawings that illustrate peace, love, and faith and make a faux stained-glass window. Sports Games Campers will play a variety of engaging and active games. Each game will begin with a learning session and then a practice before playing the games. Campers will participate in games such as: Battleship (strategic game of throwing balls at targets), Glow in the Dark Capture the Flag, Gaga, Bowling, and many others that will challenge campers in an entertaining way. Movies and Games (Bricks4Kidz) For kids today, in the afternoon it’s all about the world of games and movies! In this interactive summer camp, campers will use LEGO® Bricks to create and build different characters from their favorite video games and movies. Themes such as Super Mario Bros, Beyblades, Pok®mon, Minecraft, LEGO® Movie, Toy Story, Incredibles, and much more come to life through the use of our robots, mosaics, and 3D art, all made out of LEGO® Bricks. Each day will be a new adventure as the virtual and LEGO® worlds combine!

WEEK 2: June 13-17

FULL DAY Camp

Camp Invention- Explore Our new 2022 K-6 summer program offers four modules that guide children to build confidence and expressreativity through hands-on, open-ended exploration of concepts including cutting-edge ocean technology; space exploration and discoveries; relationships in materials science, chemistry and art; and the physics and engineering design behind gaming. (Note: This is a five day, am/pm program. No field trip for this camp. A separate registration is required.)

King Tut and Ancient Egypt! Spend a week in Ancient Egypt! You will make a mummy, paint a pyramid, and write a mysterious message in hieroglyphics. We will do this and so much more in this camp. Don’t miss out on the fun! Football Campers will focus on the fundamentals of passing, kicking, punting, catching, route running, defending, and field awareness. Campers will have fun practicing drills and playing different games that will teach the various skills of football. Campers will compete in minitournaments including punting, passing and a kicking competition.

Bugs, Insects, and Butterflies Explore the world of bugs and insects! There is so much to explore in the world of bugs. We will be creating art projects by drawing, painting, and printing bugs, insects, and butterflies based on contemporary artists like Vladimir Kush and Rosalind Monks. Maccabiah In this Olympics-style competition, campers will learn several sports and games before competing against fellow campers in variousmatches, including individual and team challenges. The closing ceremony where medals are presented will highlight this friendly sporting event.

Field Trip: Kidzania

WEEK 3: June 20-24

MORNING Camps

Flight Lab Campers will take apart and customize a high-tech flight simulation robot. While following step-by-step instructions to investigate the inner workings of their robot, they will receive everything they need to experiment with, including the principles of flight, such as lift and thrust. Under the Sea Have you Drawn an Octopus? Painted a jellyfish, a mermaid, or a shark?! Join us for a fun week! We will be looking at paintings of the ocean created by famous artists like Claude Monet and Katsushika Hokusai for inspiration. Then we’ll be busy painting beaches waves and making papier-mache sculptures of ocean creatures. Soccer Campers will focus on the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, goalkeeping, playing defense, and field awareness. This will happen through specific drills and games that will teach each key area of focus. Campers will get to play various soccer-based games that will work on different skills. The week will end with skills competitions and a giant game of soccer. USA Archery Fundamentals (Kidokinetic) The archery camp is designed for elementary girls and boys. Archery was introduced into the US Olympics in 1900 and one of the first sports to include both genders in a sporting event. The sport thrives today with skills including focus, concentration, coordination, balance, clarity of mind, strength, stability and more. As an official partner of USA Archery, the camps utilize professional equipment with the support of a nationally recognized curriculum. Coaches are certified by USA Archery for safety and quality of curriculum presentation.

The Wizarding World Explore the world of wizards found in your favorite books through STEM activities. Concoct potions, construct circuit wands, create charms to cast and much more.

Little Picasso and Mini Matisse Campers will be looking at the art of famous artists (e.g., Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Georgia O’Keefe, Leonardo da Vinci, Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso) to learn about their subjects and their style. Each student will have the opportunity to create their work in the style of the selected artist. Net Sports Campers will focus on learning the fundamentals of tennis, aerial tennis, table tennis, volleyball, and many other sports. They will get the chance to play many different games and participate in learning drills. Skills include how to properly hold a tennis racket, proper groundstrokes, some net play, how to hold an aerial tennis racket, appropriate mechanics of swinging, basics of scorekeeping, how to bump and set a volleyball, etc. They will finish the week with a competition that highlight campers new learned skills. Israel’s Best Foods In a region renowned for fantastic foods, campers will join in the fun by making, tasting, and creating Israeli delicacies. Finding something delicious for all tastes in Israel is easy, especially for kids. Food is at the epicenter of Israeli identity and a force that unites many nationalities. Join this class to taste some Israeli favorites.

WEEK 4: June 27- July 1 MORNING Camps

Rescue Squad Creative thinking helps protect the planet as our campers follow step-by-step instructions to construct parachutes and safely airdrop wildlife. They will also receive all the materials to design and create an energy-efficient LED plant. Taking on environmental challenges and practicing creative problem solving to restore balance in nature will be a critical element to this class. Foil Art Our campers will get a chance to learn about and create foil art. Campers will incorporate famous Israeli artistswho create this formof art to create our foil art that describes their background! In this funadventure,wewill also createamapcollage. Floor Hockey Campers will focus on the fundamentals of stick handling, passing, shooting, goalkeeping, and special awareness. Participants will practice many drills and active games to teach the skills it takes to succeed. The week will end with a skills competition where campers can show off their best moves. Magic Exploer Camp - ages 5-7 (The Dallas Magic Academy) Have fun, make friends, feel special, and have something exciting to look forward to. The focus is on magic, fun, and learning. The magic makes the fun happen; the fun makes the learning easy. We will create our own magic with crafts, practice, demonstration, and fun. All props and materials are provided and by the end of class, each student will have the knowledge and ability to perform their tricks for their friends and family. The props that you will make and receive are quality products and will last for years of fun and entertainment.

Discover Purple Wand Magic Course - ages 8-12 Have fun learning magic skills while also learning life skills. The Discover Magic course is a unique and exciting programspecifically designed to teach not just magic, but how to interact successfully with other people. In fact, it’s best described as a life skills course camouflaged to look like a magic lesson. Kids become so engrossed and entertained in learning and performing the magic tricks they don’t realize they’re also developing incredibly valuable communication skills. Every Discover Magic course features customcreated props, one of the Traits of a TrueMagician, Top Secret Private files for every child and even special Bonus material the kids can unlock with a secret code after class. You do not have to take one course before taking another one. They each have different props and routines, and each teach different principles and techniques of the ART of Magic. Weather Wiz Kids Natural disasters are affecting the world in BIG ways. Jump in and explore what causes them, ways to help after they have hit and how they affect animals, humans, water systems, forests, and the atmosphere. Campers will create models of weather phenomena using multi-sensory approaches. Print Making Let’s enjoy learning about the beauty of Printmaking! Using Temper cakes to create a background, we will learn about the beauty of symmetry and how we apply it to art. We will also talk about how it came into use through Israeli artist Michael Slatkine. Later, we will design our print and add it to our beautiful background using our new printmaking techniques. Baseball-Kickball Campers will focus on learning baseball positions and learn how to hit/kick, play each position in the field, techniques of base running, pitching, catching balls, and many other skills. Campers will practice many skills and play a variety of games to learn proper baseball techniques.We will have a home run competition, skills competition, and play games of kickball and baseball. The Art of Baking Course Description: Chef Becky inspires kids with the art of baking in this exciting, fun-filled culinary experience. Chef Becky will introduce kids to the fundamentals of baking while they enjoy making their favorite recipes. In this fun, hands-on kids’ class, young chefs will have the opportunity to explore the world of baking and create delicious sweet treats.

Design Thinking Project: Entrepeneurs Campers begin to see themselves as capable creators and entrepreneurs when they engage in activities that build design thinking skills, empathy, and persistence. They will also gain tools and experiences to help them understand the value of intellectual property. Campers will begin their first entrepreneur endeavors by following step-by-step instructions to sketch ideas, build prototypes, design logos, and make pitches. Reduce Reuse Recycle We are going to make recycling fun while having fun.We will challenge ourselves to create works of art using different materials like magazines, ardboard, and plastic for a whole week of recycled art. Let’s find the beauty in everyday objects while creating sculptures, collages, and prints. Basketball Campers will focus on the basic fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, basic defending and court awareness. Join our Space Academy to develop campers’ abilities and love for STEM around our galaxy and beyond. The class will prepare them as future leaders focusing on the cosmos and space exploration.. Mini Monet Let’s explore how artists use nature in their artwork. From flowers to trees to insects, artists are inspired by our world. We will create paintings prints of sculptures looking and using nature for inspiration. Sports Games Campers will play a variety of engaging and active games. Each ame will begin with a learning session and then a practice before playing the games. Champions Campers will become game-changing innovators as they receive everything they need to design and build the ultimate sports complex. They will collect Inventor Trading Cards to discover the inspiring stories of inventors who have shaped the world of sports. Also, by following step-by-step instructions to incorporate simple machines into tabletop games, campers will access their critical thinking during this class. Colorful world of Dye & Screen Printing Do you enjoy exploring the beauty of color? This week we will learn to start by mixing colors to explore the world of color by creating colors by mixing and experimenting with paints! We will then learn about Tie Dye! Campers will learn about a famous tie-dye artist and strategies that we can use to create a beautiful and extravagant masterpiece! We will also have an introduction to learning about screen printing and Circuit machines! How it was originated and learn about artists who focus on screen printing! Join us to design a personalized logo to print on your colorful Tie-dye shirts! Soccer Campers will focus on the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, goalkeeping, playing defense, and field awareness. This will happen through specific drills and games that will teach each key area of focus. Campers will get to play various soccer-based games that will work on different skills. The week will end with skills competitions and a giant game of soccer. Learning Lacrosse (Kidokinetic) Lacrosse basics are introduced in this fun and exciting curriculum developed by USA Lacrosse. The camp is designed to introduce and develop the tactical, technical, and cooperative skills for young children to gain interest in the game. Skills include scooping, passing, catching, cradling and shooting. This is a non- competitive camp designed to build self-confidence and basic knowledge of the sport. Fitness components include speed, agility, coordination, stamina and teamwork.

Mad Scientists From the realm of insects to the role forensics science plays in solving crimes. Conduct experiments that will engage the minds of our young scientist. Campers will learn to control chemical reactions. Explore the science world from ooze to bubbles, gum to goo, squeeze and stretch your mind around the science that only a mad scientist would concoct. Personalized Wall Murals This week, we will learn about artists worldwide who create beautiful murals. Together, campers will design murals that represent scenery groups recreating art worldwide, including Israel and the fantastic murals throughout the country. Our campers will personalize their creations, explore colors, and mix paint techniques based on what we have learned. Net Sports Campers will focus on learning the fundamentals of tennis, aerial tennis, table tennis, volleyball, and many other sports. They will get the chance to play many different games and participate in learning drills. Camp Invention- Supercharge The Camp Invention® program, Supercharged™, allows campers to experience real-world problem solving and creative thinking! Kites for Hope The camperswill createakiteof their own in this camp.Theywill use wooden dowels, paper, ribbons, and paint to create a design that represents hope and peace in Israel. They will attach wishes to the ribbons of the kites.

Discover Green Wand Magic Course - ages 7-12 (The Dallas Magic Academy)

This class is for kids 7 to 12, who want to have fun, make friends, feel special, and have something exciting to look forward to. The focus is on magic, fun, and learning. The magic makes the fun happen; the fun makes the learning easy. Learn how to cut a lady in half, give your friends superhero powers, make invisible objects appear in a magic pencil pouch and more. The FUN comes from Surprises, unique games, and bonus content to practice over time. We also focus on The Eight Traits of a True Magician; They are Respectful, Prepared, Enthusiastic, Confident, Humble, Creative, Authentic, and Giving.

Grossology FGet ready to get gross. This hand-on camp combines anatomy, physiology, and some chemistry to take a deeper look into how our body works. Make fake blood, discover how cavities are created, learn how much toilet paper and diapers can hold before they burst, and so much more.. Peace Agamographs The campers will create Agamographs in the style of Israeli artist Yaacov Agam. An agamograph is a series of images that change at different angles. This work is named after the Israeli sculptor, Yaacov Agam, born in 1928 and still living today. When viewing an Agamograph you can walk from one side to the other and watch their creation change from one image to another. The campers will create two paintings and turn them into an Agamograph, and one painting will depict an image of peace and the other painting with the camper’s depiction of a rainbow. (Yaacov Agam considers the rainbow as the first gift from God to humankind.) Baseball-Kickball Campers will focus on learning baseball positions and learn how to hit/kick, play each position in the field, techniques of base running, pitching, catching balls, and many other skills. Campers will practice many skills and play a variety of games to learn proper baseball techniques.We will have a home run competition, skills competition, and play games of kickball and baseball. Game On!(Bricks4Kidz) For kids today, it’s all about the world of online video games and apps! In this interactive summer camp, campers will use LEGO® Bricks to create and build different characters from their favorite video games. Themes such as Super Mario Bros, Roblox, Beyblades, Pok é mon, and Minecraft come to life through the use of our robots, mosaics, and 3D art, all made out of LEGO® Bricks.
