GIVING BACK THROUGH ASSOCIATE SHARING One of my favorite parts of our culture is the way we work together to help people succeed. It’s the “why” for everything

we do. And one of the most important ways we help people succeed is through Associate Sharing. Associate Sharing is all about giving back to those in need and helping the communities

we serve. Because of your generous spirit, we recently set two records – our donation of $1,050,001 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through Averitt Cares for Kids was our largest ever, and you combined P2

FROM GARY SASSER PG. 1 - for more than 6,000 hours of service in our Team Up Community Challenge. Those accomplishments make me prouder than ever to be part of our team. They show the type of people who wear the Averitt red, and they show how the sky is the limit when we’re working together toward the

same goal. I’m reminded of St. Jude founder Danny Thomas’ quote about the most meaningful way to make a difference: “I would rather have a million people give me one dollar than one give me a million.” And that’s exactly what you do through Averitt Cares for Kids. More than 95% of our associates are Averitt

Cares for Kids members, giving $1 a week to help those who need it most. Our Team Up Community Challenge also continues to grow, and it’s an outstanding way to make an impact. Whether it’s food and clothing drives, blood donations or community cleanups, you’re showing what it means to help our neighbors.

Because of our commitment to helping others, and because we have the best people, I’m confident that even greater things are yet to come as we make a difference through the Team Up Community Challenge and Averitt Cares for Kids! T m

‘DO THE BEST JOB I CAN AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS’ Frontline Leader Started Averitt Career As Truckload Driver One thing Atlanta East frontline leader CLETIES MACK has seen in his Averitt career is that people are always willing to help each other. That team culture has helped Cleties experience career growth in nearly eight years with Averitt, and it’s why he continues to do his best in whatever role he’s in. Cleties came to Averitt in 2014 as a Truckload driver in Tampa. In 2017, he transferred to our Costco dedicated team, where he stayed through the middle of 2019. After moving to Georgia, he briefly served as a dock associate before moving into a city driving role. And in late 2021, Cleties was promoted to frontline leader. From the time he started in Truckload, Cleties saw a difference in Averitt, beginning with our service centers, shower facilities and parking. “That made life on the road so much better and easier to deal with,” he says. As he continued in his career, Cleties also saw the difference our people make. “I've never met a person at Averitt – driver, clerk or anyone – that if I had a question, they wouldn’t sit down with me and explain it to me,” he says. “It’s

been an overall enjoyable experience with the company. That in itself is a blessing. I’ve been with other companies where there are good people, but not on this scale. Everybody has their days that are challenges, but overall, it’s really been good and the people have been great.” Cleties is aware of the opportunities that are available at Averitt, and he’s trying to continue his track record of learning and growing. “I’m just trying to do the best job I can where I am and see what happens,” he says. “For others who want to grow in their own career, I would tell them to stay forward-facing. Address the role that you’re in now, and undoubtedly someone will notice.” RE ADY TO TAKE YOUR NE X T STEP ? All these offerings and more give us the whole package that our competitors can’t match. “The relationships and confidence that the Averitt team has built with our customers makes Integrated Services an easy sell,” says STEVE MCDONALD of our Integrated leadership. “The confidence that our customers have in Averitt, along with the external partnerships that our team has developed, allows us to stretch the Averitt footprint around the globe.” Steve adds, “We have a great team of associates within each of our Integrated service offerings. The thing that makes Averitt Integrated stand out from others within the industry is the fact that we have assets. And most importantly, our assets are backed by the Averitt brand.” One example of the way Integrated Services helps our entire team is the As part of our commitment to being a single- source provider for the next 50 years and beyond, we recently announced our five distinct service units – LTL, Truckload, Dedicated, Distribution & Fulfillment, and Integrated Services. Because of the services we provide, we were able to add customs clearance to the solution, as well as manage the transportation of products in Mexico. “This business has allowed the customer to have one point of contact,” Steve explains. “Behind the scenes, our Dedicated, North America Truckload & Cross-Border, and Customs Brokerage teams work closely together to provide the complete solution.” The success of our Integrated Services team is a win-win for all of us, because we build density throughout our network, and as a result we get even more driver-friendly freight. “With the help of all our sales associates in the system, the more we grow, the better opportunities we can provide to our assets,” Steve says. “That will allow them to cherry-pick the freight that’s best for our drivers and best for our team.” Thank you to our Integrated Services team for providing more opportunities to deliver freight In And Out Of The South. That’s Why This Dallas Teammate Referred 5 Associates In 2021 We want to shine a spotlight on Dallas city driver PRINCESS BATES for referring five new teammates to Averitt in 2021 – what an outstanding accomplishment! 'AVERITT HAS BEEN VERY GOOD TO ME' Princess has a talent for spotting People Like You – the kind of people who make great Averitt teammates. Many of her referrals have been fellow transportation professionals that she rubbed elbows with on the job before they came aboard our team. These are the traits she knew would make them fit right in. “I immediately notice those who appear neat and put forth a professional image,” says Princess. “The people I invited to Averitt, I could see that they were presentable, punctual, reliable, friendly and well spoken. Most of all, I look for ambition and drive – someone who wants something better.” Princess is in her fifth year with our team, and she’s proud to call Averitt home. While considering a career at Averitt for herself, our professional image was the first thing that stood out to Princess. “Before I joined the team, I noticed how Averitt drivers always looked neat and dressed in uniform,” says Princess. “That told me there’s pride here.” Since coming aboard in 2017, Princess has seen how our team values open communication. That aspect of our culture means a lot to her, and it’s a valuable benefit she shares with referrals.

Dallas city driver PRINCESS BATES has a great eye for knowing others who would be a good fit for Averitt. In fact, five of her People Like You referrals were hired in 2021!

“Averitt has been very good to me. It’s easy to talk to everybody that I work with. If I have a question, I know I’m heard,” says Princess. “That’s something that I tell others when I talk about our team. We are valued at Averitt, and it’s a good company to be with.” Princess is going a long way to secure a very bright future for us all.
