PLANNING FOROUR FUTURE
TEMPLE ISDPROPOSITIONA
TISD TRANSFORMATION PLAN • In 2011, the Board of Trustees launched a strategic planning process that included a 10-Year Facilities Master Plan to begin a transformation of Temple Independent School District. • At that time, the average age of a school building was 42.4 years-old and most schools were not equipped with state standards for space, technology and special programs to deliver the 21st Century curriculum to prepare our students to be college, career and military ready. • The transformation began with the 2011 Bond and continued with the 2015 Bond, seven years ago. We were able to address aging buildings across the district through repairs, renovations, additions, and new construction. • The plan impacted every student, teacher and campus in Temple ISD over the last 10 years, and all projects were completed on time, on target and under budget.
On Friday February 18, 2022, the TISD Board of Trustees called a new election for this May ballot with one Proposition to target four key areas: keep up with growth, address aging facilities, increase safety and security, and comparable student programs. Total proposed: $164,800,000
