BIODEGRADABLE BOOK COVERING

PROTECT YOUR BOOKS AND THE ENVIRONMENT Bioguard 80® is a specially formulated film that emulates similar properties and applications to Bookguard - with the added benefit of being fully biodegradable. We’ve successfully developed an “active biodegradable ingredient” that enables Bioguard 80® to fully biodegrade when placed in the right compositable environment (landfill or compost) without leaving microplastics. Bioguard 80® will not begin to biodegrade during normal library use. The active biodegradable ingredient will not activate until it is placed into anaerobic-digestion conditions – landfill or compost. These conditions must be dark and include moisture, presence of micro-organisms with a temperature range of 10-30 degrees Celsius. Bioguard 80® is suitable to cover all books covered by existing 80-micron adhesive book covering.

FULLY BIODEGRADABLE Bioguard 80® does not produce harmful, toxic microplastics. We’ve successfully developed an “active biodegradable” ingredient that worms and micro-organisms can consume.

UV STABILISED Features waterproof and UV protection. Specially formulated gloss film combined with acrylic based adhesion provides a sustainable book covering solution.

• 80 microns • Fully recyclable (including backing paper) • Repositionable / Delayed bond • Acid Free • Gloss finish • UV stabilised – won’t yellow, shrink or crack • Roll shelf life – before opening: 12-18 months in normal library office conditions • Waterproof protection to the surfaces of books.
