STACK 2020 Anadarko Basin, Oklahoma; William Eucker III, BMR II, LLC, Evergreen, CO and Andrew M. Ashby, BMR II, LLC, Evergreen, CO

Cover Photo by Andrew Cullen: Intraformational thrust fault in Bigfork Chert at Scratch Hill just east of Atoka Oklahoma. The view is looking to the west from East Court Street. See Cullen and Miller, this issue for map location. The fault is one of several splay faults related to the Choctaw Fault, a major thrust with a trace less than a mile to the west of this outcrop. The photo is practically the same, albeit a more weathered exposure, as that shown for Stop 1 in the 1959 Fieldtrip Guidebook for The Geology of the Ouachita Mountains Symposium prepared by the Ardmore and Dallas Geological Societies for the AAPG and

SEPM annual meeting. The field trip chairman, Dan Feray, took the photo below. It should be noted that the 1959 interpretation of Bigfork thrust over Womble is problematic as this would place younger rocks over older rocks unless the hanging wall section is overturned, which is not the case based on outcrop observations elsewhere on Scratch Hill. The rocks in the footwall at part of the Bigfork, so an intraformational fault provides the simplest solution.
