Format/Rules 2-Man Better-Ball Match-Play

Each Match is a Four-Ball Match, spun-off the low Handicap of each Group. The Field is divided into Flights based on combined index of Partners (6 teams per Flight). Each Team will compete in five 9-Hole Matches against the other Teams in their respective Flight. Each Match is worth a total of 9 points (1 point per hole).

Points are awarded as follows:

Win a hole = 1 point Tie a hole = ½ point Losing a hole = 0 points

The Flight Winner will be the Team with the highest point total in their Flight. The overall Winners (1st – 3rd) will be determined via a 3-Hole Shoot-Out between all Flight Winners.

*In case of a tie for 1st Place within any Flight, all Teams who tied will be invited to participate in the Shoot-Out.

*In addition to the Flight Winners, the Team with the highest points of the entire Field who did not win their overall Flight will be invited to participate as a Wild-Card Team. (more on page 5... )

F ormat /R ules (continued) *If a player on a Team cannot play for any reason, as long as none of the 9-Hole Matches have been played, a suitable replacement can be named. Once Matches have commenced, if a playing partner has to drop out, the remaining partner must complete the remaining match(es) using his ball only and he may only use his strokes where they fall. 1A: Teams are Flighted by the combination of both Player’s Indices. In Matches where partners have a handicap reduction per the Two-Handicap Rules, the Players reduced Handicaps are being used for individual Matches. 1B: In the event that both Players on a Team aren’t able to compete in a Match or a Team has to withdraw before the 1st Match begins, the opposing Team will play the Match against PAR. A Marker will be sent-out to play with the Playing Team. If a Team is forced to forfeit a Match due to a Player not participating in said Match, that Team will score ZERO Points. If a Flight begins with only Five Teams, each remaining Team will play one Match against PAR. Any Claims must be made to the Golf Shop Staff immediately after the respective Nine-Hole Match when turning-in your Scorecard and BEFORE you begin the next Match. In the event it’s the last Match of the day, before you leave the Scoring Area.

H andicaps Maximum Handicap is 20. Maximum 10-stroke differen- tial between Partners. April 7 th , 2022 Index will be used.
