Set among the rolling hills of the Delaware Valley and surrounded by land formerly owned by the renowned duPont family, our storied history of over 120 years has solidified Wilmington Country Club as one of the finest and most prestigious clubs in the country. Home to two world class golf courses, Wilmington Country Club has hosted a number of USGA and National Amateur Championships and will host the 2022 BMW Championship.

SOUTH COURSE

ANDREW GREENE | 2020 The South Course, designed by the legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Sr., is our signature course and was opened for play on October 8th 1959. Renovated by Andrew Greene in 2020, it plays a a monstrous 7,521 yards.

NORTH COURSE

DICK WILSON | 1961 The North Course was designed by Dick Wilson and opened for play in 1961. It features smaller greens, narrow fairways, and plays 6,390 yards.

RACQUETS FACILITY As a multi-year, award-winning facility, Wilmington Country Club has hosted prestigious events including the National Junior and Senior Tennis Championships. Our racquets facility boasts over thirty courts, including eleven clay tennis courts, two outdoor hard tennis courts, two bentgrass tennis courts, six indoor tennis courts, five squash courts, four paddleball courts, and four pickleball courts

INTERNSHIP 2022 The internship program at Wilmington Country Club will take you through the heart of the golf season in the Mid-Atlantic and culminate in hosting the 2022 BMW Championship. The climatic conditions of the region make it a challenging yet extremely beneficial experience for your career. Requirements, Benefits and Opportunities: Golf Course interns are required to be enrolled in either an accredited two or four year institution in a field of study related to golf turf management. A competitive hourly wage of $14.00 / hour plus overtime. Uniforms, lunch, and golf privileges. No cost housing within a 5 minute drive from the Club. BMW Championship experience featuring tournament build out, advance week preparations and tournament week. Experience the master plan for the North Golf Course by Andrew Greene in early stages of a campus wide irrigation renovation.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Learning to operate all types of equipment utilized on course. Achieve a fair course set-up in accordance with the USGA rules. Applying plant protectants using the latest GPS technology. Monitoring and updating chemical records and inventory. Repair basic to advanced irrigation problems. Employ proper hand watering techniques of greens and tees. Small project development and execution. Assist in the grass tennis court maintenance. Understanding, learning and employing calibration techniques of sprayers and spreaders.
