Please take a moment today to review this EVO Congress Event Factsheet beforehand. EVO Networking was founded in 2015. We started holding our biannual EVO Congress in the summer of 2020. This is the 3rd event and is a chance to meet the majority of Members from all 10 groups, network and meet some great speakers. It’s a celebration of EVO and the community we’ve built. Matt Richardson: Congress Chair and Speaker

Matt launched the first group meeting for EVO in April 2016 at Bristol's Brasserie Blanc restaurant. The following month, we moved the meeting to the 13th century monastery which was part of the complex. Matt runs his own business called Recognition Express and is a band member in Limited Edition. Matt leads EVO Genesis with both a sense of urgency with an eye on the clock, but an immensely playful spirit. People come to his group for a fun start to their week and a big liftoff which lasts well after the meeting ends. He has been networking for years and leads several groups. He started helping Jamie as a Co- Host at the Only Connect meetings (500+ people per meeting) back in 2008. Connect with him on LinkedIn today here.

Mike Cherry OBE

Mike Cherry OBE is the National Chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). An active FSB member for over 20 years, he is committed to getting the voice of small firms heard at the highest level. Previous to his current role, Mike led FSB’s campaigning and policy work for nearly a decade as National Policy Director. He remains a strong advocate of employability and enterprise, both in the UK and across the globe. For more than 40 years Mike has worked in the timber and manufacturing industry and continues to do so today. His successful family business, W.H. Mason & Son Ltd, supplies cask closures for the brewing industry and laser engraved promotional and giftware products for B2B, specialist retail outlets and visitor attractions.

Jamie Breese

Jamie is the founder of EVO and EVO Ultra. He has been running business events for 13 years: stadium expos, online and in-person EVO events in premium venues and dozens of upper-tier networking balls for 500+ decision- makers at Only Connect. Jamie has engaged speakers from Baroness Brady to the Secretary of State for International Trade, from Rob Law MBE to Labour peer Baroness Primarolo. He has officially partnered with and welcomed speakers from firms like Facebook and Google and co-promoted and compered ‘Boris Means Business’ with the Prime Minister. The Business Showcase South West is the largest business event in the SW of England and has been held 10 times to date at stadium venues. Alongside this, he has developed a contacts book as an event host, columnist at the Sunday Mirror for 20 years and a presenter of more than 500 network TV shows in the UK and US. He won a 2 year ‘first look’ deal with Steven Spielberg and Mark Burnett as a writer and director and has made a dozen films and videos to date. Currently, he co hosts/co produces the weekly LinkedIn accredited show The Biz Live and continues to work for charities, having helped raise over £1m as an auctioneer, compere, or organiser.
