Welcome to Merriscourt!

Thank you for taking the time to come and see Merriscourt and all we have to offer.

Merriscourt is a family run business and we are proud of what we do and achieve here. The long serving staff are well practised in making sure all of our guests needs are catered for and that each event we hold here unique to our clients. Having been lucky enough to have lived here for the last 25 years I am always delighted to be able to share this beautiful place with our guests and hope you will take full advantage of it. On top of our cottage accommodation our services offer half and full board to all of our clients in order to take the pressure off entertaining. I look forward to catching up with you during the day and please feel free to ask any one of my seasoned staff anything about the place and what we have to offer.

NEW COTTAGE

THE STONE BARN The Stone Barn at Merriscourt is a beautiful, rustic Cotswold stone barn. Merriscourt is fully licensed for Civil Ceremonies & Partnerships. These are conducted in The Stone Barn.

Maximum capacity for a ceremony is 150 guests.

The Stone Barn then transforms into the perfect space for dancing after dinner. It is one of three interlinking barns surrounding a pretty courtyard, providing all the space you need for your wedding day.

THE GALLERY The Gallery is a large room &, as the name suggests, its walls are adorned with numerous pieces of art work.

The Gallery is ideal for drinks receptions & leads onto the Gallery Lawn which is popular in the warmer months & has stunning and far reaching views across the Oxfordshire countryside.

The Gallery is one of three interlinking barns surrounding a pretty courtyard. It leads through to The Stone Barn which in turn leads through to The White Barn, together providing the perfect wedding venue.

THE WHITE BARN

The White Barn is large and bright with soaring up lit beams and lofty ceilings, the perfect venue for your wedding breakfast. Guests using The White Barn are able to access The Courtyard and other barns during the evening reception.

The White Barn can accommodate 130 guests.

LIGHTING

All lighting at merriscourt is supplied by our recommended and trusted lighting supplier. We do not allow external lighting suppliers.

CATERING

All of our catering at Merriscourt is in-house, including wedding catering and catering for private events. Our chef and catering manager head up the catering team at Merriscourt. They are available to discuss a wide variety of the menu options on offer. At Merriscourt we strive to tailor make our menus to our clients’ needs. We want to give you the perfect meal for your occasion, whether it be a beautiful wedding breakfast or exquisite buffet for a private event.

We also offer full board catering for all the onsite accommodation at Merriscourt, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

OAK BAR

We are proud to present our oak panelled bar at Merriscourt. The bar is well stocked with a number of popular drinks including a specialist gin section and a number of cocktails on offer.

The Bar takes credit/debit cards and can be set up as an account or pay bar depending on our clients wishes.
