AN INTRODUCTION TO MERRISCOURT

Welcome to Merriscourt .

We are a family owned and run wedding and party venue in the Cotswolds , as such our passion and dedication for perfection is unparalleled .

Over the last decade we have gathered a loyal , and hardworking team , who help run every event at Merriscourt . We view every client and wedding as unique and pride ourselves on delivering an unrivalled service .

Our dedication to each client is reflected in Merriscourt ' s ' exclusive use ' policy . This runs throughout the year . We only ever hold one event per weekend ( Friday - Sunday ).

Our full in - house service from catering to managing the day of any event offers us the chance to get to know our clients and our clients to get to know us .

THE STONE BARN

The Stone Barn at Merriscourt is a beautiful , rustic Cotswold stone barn . Merriscourt is fully licensed for Civil Ceremonies & Partnerships . These are conducted in The Stone Barn .

Maximum capacity for a ceremony is 150 guests .

The Stone Barn then transforms into the perfect space for dancing after dinner . It is one of three interlinking barns surrounding a pretty courtyard , providing all the space you need for your wedding day .

THE GALLERY BARN

The Gallery Barn is a large room &, as the name suggests , its walls are adorned with numerous pieces of art work .

The Gallery Barn is ideal for drinks receptions & leads onto the Gallery Lawn which is popular in the warmer months & has stunning and far reaching views across the Oxfordshire countryside . The Gallery Barn is one of three interlinking barns surrounding a pretty courtyard . It leads through to The Stone Barn which in turn leads through to The White Barn , together providing the perfect wedding venue .

THE WHITE BARN

The White Barn is large and bright with soaring up - lit beams and lofty ceilings , the perfect venue for your wedding breakfast . Guests using The White Barn are able to access The Courtyard and other barns during the evening reception .

The White Barn can accommodate 130 guests .

THE PUMP HOUSE

The Pump House is a romantic & delightful detached one double bedroom cottage . It is available to rent for couples to stay on site & make the most of their wedding day & this very special place .

The Pump House is £ 250 per night .

THE OLD HOUSE

The Old House is a luxury Cotswold farmhouse that sleeps 11 , available for clients & their immediate families . Situated in the grounds of Merriscourt , it has beautiful gardens with stunning views across the Cotswolds . Merriscourt ’ s luxury wedding accommodation makes it easy for the bridal party & immediate family to make the most of their wedding & enjoy this very special place .

The Old House is £ 1200 for the first night & £ 900 for subsequent nights .

NO.3

No . 3 provides superb accommodation in a beautiful Cotswold farmhouse , situated in Merriscourt ’ s glorious grounds . It sleeps 6 people in 3 double rooms .

The farmhouse interior boasts beautiful , traditional Cotswold features , an open log fire in the drawing room & a large kitchen dining room . It is spacious & airy , with large windows letting the sunshine flood in . Outside the farmhouse walls are trailed with scented wisteria , with beautiful gardens & views of the Oxfordshire countryside . All guests are free to roam the 500 acres of stunning Cotswold countryside . No . 3 costs £ 750 per night . It is connected to The Old House & can be accessed from The Old House garden . Should you require additional accommodation , please see The Old House ( sleeps 11 ), The Pump House ( sleeps 2 ) & The Cottage ( sleeps 6 ).

THE COTTAGE

The Cottage is the latest addition to our list of available luxury Cotswold accommodation at Merriscourt .

It offers three double ensuite bedrooms sleeping 6 , with a traditional Cotswold kitchen and sitting room , situated within the courtyard at Merriscourt . The old wooden beams and Cotswold stone flooring compliment a modern and comfortable series of rooms which can be enjoyed by the bridal party , family and friends . All guests are free to roam the 500 acres of glorious Cotswold countryside . The Cottage is £ 750 per night . Should you require additional accommodation , please see The Old House ( sleeps 11 ), The Pump House ( sleeps 2 ) & No . 3 ( sleeps 6 ).

THE BENTLEY Travel in style on your wedding day in the Astor S2 1961 Bentley . With its sumptuous leather interior , sit back and relax as you make your journey to or from Merriscourt .

Available from £ 400 + VAT , including driver , depending on mileage .

MERRISCOURT BAR

We are proud to present our oak panelled bar at Merriscourt .

The bar is well stocked with a number of popular drinks including a specialist gin section and a number of cocktails on offer .

The Bar takes Credit / debit cards and can be set up as an account or pay bar depending on our clients wishes .

CATERING

IN - HOUSE CATERING

In December 2017 Merriscourt Events ltd bought all Event catering in - house . With head chef Ross and catering manager Becca heading up all catering related issues , we can now provide a complete in - house service for your event at Merriscourt .

Both Ross and Becca have been handpicked to join the team by the owner of Merriscourt who was more than impressed by their skill , professionalism and track record in Event catering .

Free Tasting days are scheduled well in advance of your Event and take place on site at Merriscourt .

Tasting dates are available upon request and are free for couples ( 2 people ) who have already booked the venue . ( A charge is applied to unbooked couples which is taken off final catering bill in event of clients booking venue ).

TASTING DAYS

The Tasting days enable clients to combine a planning meeting with Lucie ( wedding manager ) and Becca ( Catering manager ) on site and together . The Chef will also be on hand to run through menus and talk through choices with couples .

Communication between all Merriscourt Staff and clients takes place over the course of a tasting and makes for a smoother service and delivery of clients ’ needs on the day of their event . Extensive notes and photographs are taken throughout the tasting .

MENUS

We have developed a new Merriscourt Menu which we hope reflects the variety of our clients needs and tastes . From Silver service , to sharing boards , Oyster stations to interactive canapé stations we hope to offer a greater selection of dining experiences from which a Client may choose .

Bespoke menus are also now possible to create and priced to reflect our client ’ s wishes .

Wine from our extensive list can also be paired to your tasting choices and sampled on the tasting days with no obligation to buy it from us !

High Season Venue Rate ( May , June , July , August , September , October , December ) - £ 5 , 900 + VAT 2019 PRICES

Low Season Venue Rate ( January , February , March , April , November ) - £ 2 , 900 + VAT

Hire Items - £ 5 . 50 plus VAT Includes - Table Cloths , Napkins , Cutlery Glassware Rounds Tables Chairs

Merriscourt does not charge corkage .
