When I first started this company in 1971, I knew the people I hired would be my most valuable asset. It was true then and it is still true today. The success and growth of Mi-T-M is only made possible by the dedication of the people who put in the hard work to get us where we are now. When I look back over the last 50 years there is a lot to be proud of, from designing and engineering the very first 1000 PSI pressure washer in my garage, to now manufacturing hundreds of industrial equipment in a one million-square-foot facility. Our customers are some of the most well-known in the industry and they are our number one priority. That is why I decided to transition the Mi-T-M Corporation to my employees through a 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Each of our 450 employees will share ownership and continue to work with little change except they'll build on what they own. No one understands our customers better, so placing the future of Mi-T-M in their hands is by far the best succession plan. They made Mi-T-M the company what it is today and they will make the best decisions for you, their customers, in the future.

R esidential /C ommerical I ndustrial P roducts

At Mi-T-M our number one goal is to make sure customers are satisfied with their purchase of Mi-T-M equipment. By far, the most important factor for customer satisfaction is making sure the right equipment is purchased for jobs they are planning to use it for. Too often we’ve heard that a residential or commercial piece of equipment was sold to a customer only to find out that it is being used on industrial jobs. Those are jobs that need more power and require equipment with a higher hours rating. As experts in the equipment industry, we know how important customer satisfaction is. Professionals and non-professionals choose Mi-T-M, not only for our high quality equipment, but because we set the standards for customer satisfaction.

RESIDENTIAL Residential equipment is built to help customers tackle jobs around their homes. Typically, this type of equipment is more compact and easier to use. It is considered light duty and is only used 2-5 hours per week. COMMERCIAL Commercial grade equipment is used on medium-sized properties like hobby farms and small commercial businesses. This equipment is generally used 5-10 hours per week on jobs that require more power than residential equipment. INDUSTRIAL Industrial equipment is found on jobsites that require heavy-duty power. This type of equipment is often used up to 30 or 40 hours per week, so it requires a much higher hours rating. Mi-T-M is well-known for building equipment that is reliable in industrial settings.

S electing T he R ight P ressure W asher

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW... PSI (POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH)

PSI indicates the amount of pressure the unit will create if concentrated on one square inch of surface area. The greater the PSI, the better the cleaning efficiency. GPM (GALLONS PER MINUTE) GPM tells you how much water (gallons) will flow through your pressure washer (flow rate). A higher flow rate will cut down your cleaning time. PSI VS. GPM PSI and GPM are both equally important when choosing a pressure washer. The PSI indicates the amount of pressure and GPM indicates the flow. You must have the correct combination of PSI and GPM to have the most ideal pressure washing system for your needs. CU (CLEANING UNIT) CU is calculated by multiplying PSI by GPM. The number is useful for comparing models. The higher the number of cleaning units, the more cleaning power your pressure washer has. PUMP Pressure washer pumps are driven by the motor or engine and push the water through your pressure washer. The two types of pumps are direct drive and belt drive. NOZZLE The actual pressure is created by the nozzle. Different nozzle sizes (orifices) are available to create the spray angle or pressure needed to fit your cleaning needs. The wider the spray, the less cleaning power. The narrower the spray, the more cleaning power. UNLOADERS AND RELIEF VALVES Pressure washers are equipped with safety features designed to reduce pressure build-up. Unloaders and thermal relief valves prevent heat and water pressure from reaching dangerous levels. COLD OR HOT WATER? Cold water pressure washers are great for cleaning dirt from most any surface; decks, siding, concrete, etc. However, cold water pressure washers cannot remove grease and oil effectively. To clean a surface that needs to be degreased, you'll want to use a hot water pressure washer. Hot water also cleans faster in most applications.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BELT DRIVE AND DIRECT DRIVE PUMPS?

BELT DRIVE: Most commonly found on industrial models, a belt driven pump is ideal for cleaning applications requiring 20+ hours of use per week. The belt connecting the engine or motor with the high pressure pump dissipates the heat and vibration, minimizes the wear and thus the repair on key components, and extends the life of the pump by reducing the RPM demand. DIRECT DRIVE: For applications requiring less than 20 hours of use per week, direct driven pumps are more commonly used. The pump is directly coupled to the engine or motor causing the pump to spin twice as fast as the belt drive models. Although these models are not recommended for heavy, consistent usage, they are a lower cost alternative to more expensive, belt driven models. IS TIME A FACTOR? A correctly sized pressure washer can cut cleaning times in half. Shorter cleaning time means less labor, which equals more productivity and profit.

PATENTED HEAT EXCHANGER DESIGN Mi-T-M Corporation holds the patent for a unique dual coil heat exchanger design which allows each cartridge to heat water twice, keeping the internal heat of the cartridges constant. Heat is transferred into the aluminum casting keeping the heating element from coming into contact with water eliminating calcium and build-up on the coils. ● The DHA Series is designed to eliminate one of the industries most common problems – direct contact of water to the heating element.

● The tubing that carries the water through the heating element is made up of 316 stainless-steel.

● The alternating water flow through each heat exchanger allows for even heat distribution. ● The DHA Series heat exchanger system
