YOU DON’T HAVE TO SUFFER THROUGH ALLERGIES Natural Solutions That Will Work!
found that Zorex is another great tool for sufferers. Turn to Page 3 to learn more and for a special offer! Other allergy sufferers may benefit from eating local, raw honey. Studies have found that those who consumed local, raw honey on a regular basis lowered their allergy symptoms and reactions. The belief is that by consuming the honey, users are ingesting and introducing localized pollen sources to their body on a much smaller scale. This could be a long-term solution for those exhausted by consistently reaching for the tissues. There are also effective natural solutions for those who merely want to combat the symptoms of their allergies without relying on an antihistamine. These are useful tools for those who may experience low reactions or only experience symptoms at the height of allergy season.
If you experience itchy and watery eyes, sneezing, sniffles, and a scratchy throat this season, you’re not alone. Seasonal allergies are more prevalent in the spring than any other time of the year, and some experts believe the severity of these allergies is on the rise. In 2021, experts at Yale Medicine found that days with high pollen counts were growing with no sign of slowing down. While allergies may be common, they don’t have to be insufferable. I often work with patients who are allergy sufferers only combating the symptoms of the irritants rather than finding the source of the issue. The trouble is, figuring out the exact source isn’t easy. There are many reasons you may experience seasonal allergies. Whether you’re reacting because of the severity of pollen and allergies or because of a larger issue, it is something we can discover together through various trials.
One of the most common causes of severe allergies is the health of your gut. About 70% of our immune system is located in the gut, and when the bacterial environment of our digestive system is uneven or unhealthy, we feel the repercussions of that. If this is you, combating allergies may look like a regiment of prebiotics (food for the good bacteria in your gut) and probiotics (strains of living bacteria). By finding the right balance with these supplements, we can restore the natural ecosystem of
In these instances, consider diffusing eucalyptus, peppermint, lemon, tea tree, and/or lavender oils into the air. (Be cautious. You may be sensitive to these oils.) Another option is to use nasal irrigation, or a neti pot. These tools flush mucus from your nasal cavity and sinuses, and while manufacturers have received a lot of flack in the past for the product’s difficulty of use, they have made significant improvements.
I hope by reading this article you have learned that you don’t have to simply “live” with allergies. These responses from our bodies warrant a proper remedy, and that doesn’t have to look like over-the-counter medication or a prescription. I’m happy to help you find a solution that best fits your symptoms and lifestyle. Please call me today at 1-877-861-5927 for a free consultation.
your digestive tract. It’s worth noting that this process takes time. As with any supplement routine, you have to give your body time to properly absorb, respond, and react to the nutrients before determining if it’s worthwhile or not. My office also sells a product that naturally restores the body’s physiological response system to allergies. Much like how restoring your gut biome can provide you with peace from allergies, I have

RAISE A GLASS — OR SEVERAL 6 WAYS TO DRINK MORE WATER WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT IT
Staying hydrated is one of the pillars of healthy living. In fact, according to the Mayo Clinic, women should drink 11.5 cups (92 ounces) of water a day, and men should drink 15.5 cups (124 ounces) a day. But, if we’re being honest, water can be pretty boring to drink — there are things we’d rather be drinking, and busy schedules make it difficult. Here are some ways to work more water into your daily routine to promote optimal health. Begin and end your day with water. Make it a routine to drink a large glass of water upon waking up and before going to bed. “Bookending” your day like this ensures that your body is hydrated for both the day and night ahead. Drink a cup of water with each cup of coffee. Many of us are used to drinking more than one cup of coffee throughout the day. If you drink a glass of water with each cup of
coffee, you’re sure to stay hydrated. Keep in mind that while coffee is a liquid and contains water, it’s not very thirst-quenching. Ice is your friend. Each time you pour a drink or make a smoothie, use lots of ice! Your taste buds will hardly notice the difference, and you’ll still have lots of flavor while boosting your hydration. Drink a full glass with medicines. Many of us get in the habit of only taking a large sip of water with pills. However, whether you take a supplement, medication, or vitamin, wash it down with a full glass of water. Carry around a large water bottle. Taking your water with you in a large bottle reminds you to keep sipping wherever you go. Every chance you get, fill it up. The bottomless water bottle is a perfect way to work more water into your day. As a bonus, you can use
a measured bottle to see how much you’ve actually drank throughout the day!
Infuse your water. Try giving your H2O an extra kick. Add berries, lemon, lime, or mint to your water to give it some flavor and help make it more enticing to drink!
Water is important for a healthy body and mind, so follow these tips and stay hydrated!
BEAT THE BATTLE IN YOUR GUT Steps For Discovering Your Food Intolerance
Eating should be enjoyable, so when you’re plagued with stomach pains, bloating, bathroom issues, low energy, and general discomfort after a meal, you may begin to wonder if you have a food allergy or intolerance. Finding the answer to that question can bring happiness to your meals once again. Here’s how to do just that. What’s the difference? These days, the words “allergy” and “intolerance” are tossed around like synonyms, but this isn’t accurate. Allergies are immune system reactions, which means the process designed to attack diseases and protect us from getting sick is activated when it interacts with irritants. Intolerances (or a sensitivity) are bodily responses. For instance, if you have trouble digesting dairy, your body may be intolerant to lactose. This is not an immune response. How do I know? When you think a certain food is causing your body distress, but your life isn’t in danger when you consume it, you’re likely dealing with a sensitivity or intolerance. Allergies are a safety issue, whereas intolerances are about comfort and energy. There are blood tests that can determine if you have an allergy or sensitivity; however, Dr. Sladic
has found there is only one test on the market today that is accurate enough. Furthermore, the test itself is very expensive. Instead, Dr. Sladic has found that those who want to determine the root cause of their discomfort after eating should try an elimination diet. What is the elimination diet? Just as the name suggests, the elimination diet is a process by which participants “eliminate” foods from their diet for at least four weeks. Often, the foods they do eat are mild, like potatoes, meat, and certain grains, but the diet can be catered to your lifestyle and needs. After four weeks on the diet, the patient introduces a new food to gauge their body’s reaction. For instance, if you suspect dairy is causing discomfort, add cheese to a meal after four weeks on the elimination diet. If you feel that level of discomfort again, it’s very likely that cheese is the culprit of your sensitivity. Dr. Sladic has years of experience creating an elimination diet plan and helping patients lead full, happy lives with the knowledge of what works best for their bodies. VEGAN GARLIC ALFREDO SAUCE
LIFE IS STILL GOOD
Even With a Food Sensitivity
When you have a food sensitivity, it can feel like every item you want and crave is suddenly “off-limits.” This doesn’t have to be your reality. Consider this a go-to guide for eating with food sensitivities. Don’t Panic It’s not uncommon for a person to suspect or learn that they are sensitive to a certain food group and panic. Dr. Sladic often tells the story of a dairy farmer who refused to believe he could have a sensitivity to dairy. It was only after we had eliminated every other cause that he relented. But that man doesn’t live without enjoying his life’s work! We helped him create a plan that includes delicious, nutritious, and safe foods for him to eat. A food sensitivity diagnosis isn’t the end of what’s possible; it’s the start of a better future. Experiment This is the golden era of food sensitivity! More manufacturers are creating products that better serve a wide variety of their customers. Check the ingredients label to make sure new foods align with what your body needs, and then, try experimenting with new foods! For instance, if you learn you should avoid eggs, consider swapping eggs for a tofu or tempeh scramble. Sausage, chicken, or yogurt are other protein-packed alternatives. Test It Let’s say you find you are sensitive to dairy. As you know, not all dairy products are alike. Slowly introduce one form to your system, measure how you feel, and determine if it’s worth keeping or if it needs to go. You may find that items like Greek yogurt and hard cheese (which is low in lactose) are doable in small quantities. But you won’t know unless you try! Dr. Sladic often helps patients find diets that best support their body and nutritional needs. Don’t try to do this alone! Call Dr. Sladic today at 1-877-861-5927 to live a healthier, more flavorful life with your food sensitivity.
When it comes to Alfredo sauce, there is such a thing as too heavy and too rich! With this delicious recipe, you’ll have a yummy dish while avoiding food comas and belly aches.

4. Get Outdoors With the Family Through Cycling
JUST LIKE RIDING A BIKE Cycling Is the Perfect Activity for All Ages
You likely learned how to ride a bike as a kid — according to a 2013 survey, about 94% of American adults did. Even if it has been a while since your last ride, most people agree you never forget how, and you don’t have to be in great shape to get started. Outside of walking, biking might be the most accessible exercise for all ages and ability levels. The beauty of biking is that it can be as relaxing or challenging as you want. The average kid learns to ride at around 5 years old, so the basics aren’t complicated. Biking helps young children get outside and gives them a taste of being a “big kid.” As a result, it’s excellent for their self-esteem as well as their fitness.
for beginners. Older adults and people with knee problems also use biking as an alternative to other forms of exercise because it’s easier on their joints. Meanwhile, those looking for a challenge can easily find one. If you want a strenuous workout, it’s easy to ride farther, increase the resistance on your bike, or pick a steeper bike trail to explore. Biking is only a cakewalk if you choose to make it one. Since it’s perfect for all ages, cycling is the ideal outdoor activity to do with your family, allowing everyone to be involved in quality time together while promoting their health. To get started, make sure everyone has a bike they can use comfortably and a helmet that fits, plus understands bike safety. Once the basics are taken care of, you’re ready to hit the trails or explore the neighborhood.
Cycling is also perfect for adults who are new to exercise or need a low-impact activity. A short ride on a flat surface will get the heart rate up without feeling too strenuous, making it optimal
Even if you never learned how to ride, there’s no time like the present. You might feel a little silly at first, but the benefits of cycling will serve you — and your family — well for the rest of your life.
