Market Going Up or Down? Learn How to Measure It! Is your market changing for the better or worse? Are REOs becoming your market? This class will give you the skills to read the market and put it all into practice. Learn about absorption rates and how appraisers are trained to forecast. Three hours appraiser and real estate CE pending. $50 fee applies. RPR Roundtable Join RPR staff and your peers at this informal session for lively discussion and additional networking. General Session This must-attend session will include President CJ DelVecchio’s State of the Association address, the presentation of the Lawrence B. Caldwell RPAC Award, the RPAC of New York Hall of Fame induction, 2017 Community Service award and the keynote presentation from Mike Weber. For the past 20 years, Mike has been inspiring people from Maine to California to explore leadership, teamwork, and organizational structure by reorganizing the patterns and assumptions that define how they do business and work together. His energetic, engaging presentation will challenge you to improve your life by first changing how you think. After the recent passage of the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act, it is important to understand how the new tax legislation and its increase to the nation’s budget deficit could impact New York’s housing industry. New York Housing Conference’s Director of Policy and Programs Jessica Facciponti will provide an overview of the affordable housing and homeless crisis in New York State and highlight several federal concerns that need to be on your radar. Specifically, she will provide housing- focused updates on the federal budget, the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act and housing finance reform. Communications, Marketing & Technology Forum Start 2018 right by learning about apps that will help you automate repeated activities and improve your productivity. Plus, Vice Chair Miguel Berger will discuss the way Artificial Intelligence is disrupting the real estate industry and how REALTORS ® can embrace it.
